THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. God is starting a brand-new thing with you. He is giving you new experiences of success and breakthrough. You need to lea...

IMAGE OF GOD

IMAGE OF GOD

Genesis 1:26-31
Devotional:- “Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth” (V. 26) NKJV

At creation, God the Creator made us in His image. The greatest challenge for humanity is the loss of identity. When a man does not know who he is, he will be a cheap prey of the enemy. Lack of identity is the reason for most of all human failure. Even Eve fell into the deceptive trap of the devil because she was confused about her identity. This is the cheapest means to steal and destroy human destiny. He is still using it against men to date. The truth is that it is the most successful weapon of the enemy against man.

Friend, be willing to divorce all fact and untrue information about yourself and take the truth of the word of God (John 8:32). You were created in the image of God—to carry the very nature of God. God is a Spirit and triune. You are also a spirit and triune (John 4:24, I John 5:7-8). Sin separates man from his true nature (Romans 3:23). It is by the Spirit God that you come alive, and by His Spirit that you can do all things (Genesis 2:7; Philippians 4:13). God put Himself into man to do what He can do. You are a man of dreams with the innate ability to turn a bush into a great city. You are capable of becoming great. The strength of God was reproduced in man. He was created a righteous being and was without blemish. That is why human is higher than all other creations of God and was made better than even the angels (Hebrews 1:5, I John 3:1). He possesses the ability and beauty of God. The man was created with the ability to do many things without limitation.

You will need to start to look at yourself from this new dimension. Though you look like a single entity, you can become great, only if you can begin to see yourself with the understanding of how you were created. God is not weak, and weakness is not in your nature, you are only deceived to think of weaknesses. It is a foreign thing to you. That is why you feel the pain when you fail. Pain is a signal that something strange has been introduced into your nature. Friend, meditate on the word of God, then, you will become conscious that you are created like God.

PRAYER: LORD, BRING ME BACK TO THE LIGHT OF WHO I AM.

“UNTIL THE LIGHT OF WHOM YOU ARE IS DONE ON YOU, YOU WILL NEVER BECOME WHAT YOU ARE CREATED TO BE”
