APPRECIATION

APPRECIATION Psalm 92:1-10 Devotional:- “It is good to give thanks to the LORD, And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High” (v.1) NKJV It is in the habit of most people that when they are expecting something from God, they will do everything possible to gain His favour. But as soon as it is done, that thing loses value to them. So, people only value what they don’t have. This sometimes does not make us have a heart of gratitude to God. We will always promise to give thanks, but as soon as we receive our expectations, some will forget to give thanks. Many do not know that the opportunity or privilege that is available to them is what qualifies them for what they are expecting. But they look down on this because their expectations have not been met. Your health is more important than travelling abroad. The breath of life you enjoy is far more valuable than the car or job you are expecting. In fact, this qualifies you for those things. Friend, no matter what God has done for you,...

LORD OF HOST

LORD OF HOST

Psalms 24:1-10
Devotional:- “Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah” (V. 10) NKJV

You need to know that your saviour is the Lord of hosts. People who are from military backgrounds or families know that when your father is a general, you are like a star in the sky. So many other people will want to envy you. Such will have access to many amenities others may not be opportune to use. They will live in special quarters in the army base. And even at war, generals are more protected. If a general’s child is abused anywhere, the father will only command a few soldiers to go and discipline the individual(s) responsible.

The army of God is referred to as the host of God. Just like we mention battalions of soldiers today, the army of God is referred to as the host of God. They are more numerous than to be called by number (Hebrew 12:22). And these great hosts are the forces of God that enforce the rulership of God over heaven and earth. They are always everywhere. They are uncountable around you now. They are great enough, Jesus is the general. He is the head of the hosts of God. That is why He is not just the Lord but also the Lord of hosts.

You can now imagine what will happen to your enemy when you call the name of Jesus. The enemy will automatically tremble and bow (Philippians 2:9-10). The scripture we read is a prophecy of Jesus' journey to hell to set the Old Testament saints free. This prophecy came to pass during the death of Jesus (1 Peter 3:19). The devil queried His authority and wanted to stop Him, but when he heard the Lord of hosts, he gave way. Friend, it's a new day. As you mention that name, from now on, the devil will both bow and flee.

DECLARATION: NO AUTHORITY OR POWER WILL BE ABLE TO WAIT FOR ME ANYMORE IN THE NAME OF JESUS THE LORD OF HOSTS.
