But for growing children of God. Prayer is not just making a demand. It is also creating time to be with our father. Much more than our request, God wants us around Him. He wants us always to speak and commune with Him.   Observing the scripture, you will discover prayer has been the habit of all men of God, including Jesus Christ (Luke 6:12). Jesus spent many of his nights praying and the days working. And when He was teaching the disciples, He said, “Pray lest you fall into temptatio...

LORD OF HOST

LORD OF HOST

Psalms 24:1-10
Devotional:- “Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, He is the King of glory. Selah” (V. 10) NKJV

You need to know that your saviour is the Lord of hosts. People who are from military backgrounds or families know that when your father is a general, you are like a star in the sky. So many other people will want to envy you. Such will have access to many amenities others may not be opportune to use. They will live in special quarters in the army base. And even at war, generals are more protected. If a general’s child is abused anywhere, the father will only command a few soldiers to go and discipline the individual(s) responsible.

The army of God is referred to as the host of God. Just like we mention battalions of soldiers today, the army of God is referred to as the host of God. They are more numerous than to be called by number (Hebrew 12:22). And these great hosts are the forces of God that enforce the rulership of God over heaven and earth. They are always everywhere. They are uncountable around you now. They are great enough, Jesus is the general. He is the head of the hosts of God. That is why He is not just the Lord but also the Lord of hosts.

You can now imagine what will happen to your enemy when you call the name of Jesus. The enemy will automatically tremble and bow (Philippians 2:9-10). The scripture we read is a prophecy of Jesus' journey to hell to set the Old Testament saints free. This prophecy came to pass during the death of Jesus (1 Peter 3:19). The devil queried His authority and wanted to stop Him, but when he heard the Lord of hosts, he gave way. Friend, it's a new day. As you mention that name, from now on, the devil will both bow and flee.

DECLARATION: NO AUTHORITY OR POWER WILL BE ABLE TO WAIT FOR ME ANYMORE IN THE NAME OF JESUS THE LORD OF HOSTS.
