ACKNOWLEDGING HIM

ACKNOWLEDGING HIM Proverbs 3:1-8  Devotional:- “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (v.6) KJV. To be able to enjoy God’s loving kindness, all of us must learn to always acknowledge God in all our decision-making. This simply means that we recognise Him as our owner and the one who is qualified to instruct us on where to turn. When we gave our lives to Christ, we all confessed Jesus as our Lord. This means we acknowledge Him as the one who has the final decision over our lives. But we often forget to carry Him along in making decisions that will, in the end, have a great adverse effect on our lives. If we are to enjoy the love and the goodness of the Lord, we must learn to acknowledge Him. And this is by patiently asking Him for His instructions for us. The truth is that He will always guide us. He said, “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye” (Psalms 32:8). The truth is that you are gu...

A FRIEND

A FRIEND

John 15:13-17
Devotional:- “...but have call you friends, for all things that I heard of my father have made known to you” (V. 15)

Many times, we are deceived by what we are passing through or the news we hear daily to think God does not love us. But these are tricks of the devil to put the minds of our glorious right in Christ Jesus. The major reason for people suffering in the body of Christ is the enemy using the weapon of ignorance. Even when the truth of the word of God is told to some people they don’t believe. This is because they have been programmed to believe the lies of the enemy (John 8:44).

In the scripture we read today, Jesus calls you friend. This may sound unreligious, but it is the truth. A religious man will ask, How could a mortal man make friendship with his creator? They’ve forgotten that even God called Abraham His friend (II Corinthians 20:7). To be a friend to someone means you are important and desirable to that person. This is someone who loves to come around you and who feels excited when you are with him. This is someone who wants you to be free in sharing and caring for one another.

I need to let you know that you have the spirit of God in you. So you cannot but be His friend, for you cannot but reason or act like Him. Since you have His Spirit, God finds it safe to call a man like you His friend. So please be free to share with Him. When He speaks to you, don’t feel inferior. He wants to enjoy your friendship. That is why you should always read His love letters to you, which are the word of God. That is why you should always take time to be with Him in fellowship, both personally and collectively with the church. Make sure He is the first and the last you think of in each day of your life. And your life shall find all His grace for greatness.

Prayer: Lord, help me to appreciate and enjoy your friendship.

“THE SWEETNESS OF FRIENDSHIP IS IN SHARING TOGETHER.”
