He that is not careful, will fall into many troubles. What Jesus is teaching us to avoid in life is the kind of care that makes us carry on our head what is wrong in our lives, and these all reflect on us. This is a level of anxiety. A careful man will observe his way and succeed, but an anxious man will be weeping in hopelessness. A careful man will avoid what can make him sick, but an anxious man will have a burden that produces sickness. The instruction of Jesus is therefore telling us to avoid carrying a burden of anxiety. THE LION

THE LION

Revelation 5:1-9
Devotional:- “But one of the elders said to me, "Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals” (V.5) NKJV

Confidence in life is achieved only when a man is restful in his mind. No man can attain a good state of rest until he has ascertained his factors of confidence. The reason why men fail is because they unreasonable trust in a factor that is not tested. I have seen people fall as a result of trying to sit on a chair without ascertaining its condition. Some fellows pick other people’s cars without ascertaining the state of their efficiency. That could be very dangerous.

Friend, let us ascertain Jesus upon whom I am inviting you to trust. He is the lion of the tribe of Judah. He is the root of the house of David. If you observe in Genesis 49:8-12, when Jacob was prophetically blessing his children when he got to Judah, he said he is a lion’s whelp, who shall rouse him up (Genesis 49:9). He is a no-go area for anyone. That was referring to Jesus. See, no power can try Him (Proverbs 30:30). This is not an ordinary lion but of the tribe of Judah. The Bible says the rulership shall not depart from Him (Genesis 49:10). This means He is the one to rule eternally. Our scripture today says He is the root of David (Revelation 5:5). David was the king who lost no battle all through his days. And if Jesus is his root, he then is the source of the unfailing strength.

If you rely on Him, you cannot fail. He will make you a winner and a ruler over the forces of life eternally. He will be your unfailing strength. See, the scroll of your life the enemy has rolled up a long time ago is about to be opened. Stop weeping. Jesus, by His strength, is opening your destiny up to the next phase of glory. Just begin to praise and worship Him like the elders did. And you will never be the same again.

PRAYER: JESUS, BE MY EVERLASTING STRENGTH.

“WHEN YOUR SCROLL IS OPENED, YOUR GLORY IS OPENED.”
