JOY

JOY John 16:16-24  Devotional:- “Most assuredly, I say to you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; and you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.” (V. 20) NKJV God’s word says when sorrow endures till a night, joy comes in the morning (Psalms 30:5). This is an assurance and evidence that what is called sorrow is not a permanent situation in the life of a child of God. This is because it is certain that when a night comes, morning is always the next. The night is evidence of the coming morning. This is evidence that what you are going through right now will soon result in joy. In fact, the tougher it is, the closer the joy. May you see it. The scripture we read today gave us a new dimension of hope in our lives. Jesus said, our sorrow shall turn to joy. That which we think is a thing of sorrow shall suddenly become a thing of joy. Jesus likens it to a woman who is in labour. Women in this state often feel as if the end has come. But ...

YOUR DESTINY

YOUR DESTINY

Romans 8:18-30
Devotional:- For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren” (V. 29) NKJV

Becoming like Jesus is your destiny and one of your purpose on earth. Your destiny is what God expects you to become on earth for his glory (Romans 8:30). He wants you to be like Him to be able to have dominion on earth. When you are like him, then you can operate at a superior level of Wisdom, attitude and character.

This is one of the reasons Jesus came to the world. He came to teach us and to show us the way of God (Isaiah 55:8). He came to be an example of God to us (Romans 8:29). He came to reveal to us the mysteries and the power of being in the image and likeness of God (Matthew 5:3-9)

Friend, living in the likeness of God makes you stronger than others. It makes you work in higher wisdom (Romans 12:20). It make you live above limitations and become unstoppable (Proverbs 24:16). It makes you live above reproach. It prepares you for promotions in life (1 Peter 5:6).

To grow to be like Christ, who is the example of the image of God, you must give yourself to studying His words, it is information that reforms (Romans 12:2). To be like Christ, you need personal time of fellowship with Him in prayer and fasting. You need to fellowship with the church regularly where the word of God is shared with great light. It is then you will be able to fulfil your destiny. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, give me the grace to grow to be like you.

LIFE BECOMES EASY WHEN YOU ARE SHAPED FOR YOUR DESTINY
