  PROOF OF GOD I John 4:12-16 Devotional:- “No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us…”(V. 12) So many people today prove to be Godly. This is because it is becoming a noble thing to be Godly. This is the effect of the expansion of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. But many people have been trapped and disappointed by depending on the so-called Christian Brother or Sister syndrome. This is because we expect everyone who professes to be Christian and born again to just be honest and faithful. So we conclude on them because they are members orelders or pastors of the church.  But the Bible did not tell us that we will know them by their name or attendance in the church, but by their fruits (Matthew 7:15- 21). No man can give what he does not have. Anytime he wants to do so, he will give you frustration. What, therefore, is the proof of Godliness? It is love. UNDERSTANDING

Scripture: Ephesians 1:15-22

Devotional:- “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints” (v.18) NKJV

    No one will be able to grow in God above his/her level of understanding. Our level of understanding determines how much we can yield or submit to God. It determines how much we can exercise in the power and the grace of God . No one can achieve in life more than his/her level of understanding. It is knowing how things are done.

The way and the word of God are mysteries. We will not be able to walk in them except we grow in understanding (1 Corinthians 14:20). To grow in understanding, we need quality fellowship with the Holy Spirit and the word of God (Job 32:8). It is the Holy Spirit that helps us understands the word of God (John 14:26). If not, the word of God will look like foolishness to you.

Friend, you need to grow your reasoning capacity, insight, sensitivity and perception of the things of God by meditating in the word of God. It is our understanding that determines the flow of the grace of God to our lives. Only men of understanding can grow into maturity (2 Peter 1:2)  Always ask for the Spirit of understanding by the Holy Spirit and you shall be given (1 kings 3:5-14). Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, give me understanding of your ways

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
