  JOY IN PRAYERS I Samuel 2:1-10 Devotional:- “And Hannah prayed and said: "My heart rejoices in the LORD; My horn is exalted in the LORD. I smile at my enemies, Because I rejoice in Your salvation.” (V. 1) NKJV We often fall into depression when we look around us, and all we see are unanswered prayers. It becomes worse when you are despised and mocked for that thing that you are looking up to God for. Hannah was like that, a depressed and unhappy woman. What was Hannah’s secret that made her proclaim to all that “my heart rejoices in the Lord”? 1. She decided to look away from her oppressor 2. She went to God in prayer, pouring her sorrow to God.  3. She made a vow to give God the child 4. She left the presence of God, believing God answers prayer. Hannah made good her vow, and her joy was full. Are you depressed? Pour your heart to God, make a vow to him, and you will see him answer your prayers and your joy will Come. FRUIT BEARING

Scripture: John 15:1-8

Devotional:- "By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples".  v.8 NKJV

    We can identify a disciple by the fruit he bears. A disciple of Jesus will live like Jesus, talk and behave like Jesus. This is an evidence that he is following His master.

Jesus said we must be in close relationship with Him to be His disciple. The word of God said we need to abide in Him. This is an intimate relationship that makes us to accurately emulate the master. Any one can not be in a very close relationship with Jesus and not be able to bear the same fruit with Jesus. (Proverbs 13:20).

Please understand that we bearing Christian names does not make us Christians. Jesus said by their fruits you shall know them (Matt 7:20) These fruits are the life style of following the master. They are the fruit of the spirit (Gala 5:21). In John 15:8, Jesus said, it is only when our lives bears the fruits of the spirit that we can be called the disciple of Jesus. This means, each of us can measure if we are of Christ or not. Take time to keep close relationship with the word of God and the people of God and you will bear the fruit of Christ. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, make me a fruit bearing Christian.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.
