  ALL WORKING TOGETHER Romans 8:18-30 Devotional:- “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (v.28) NKJV Sometimes, because dates and times are rolling, we tend to start to think if the will of God will ever come to pass in our lives again. Some will ask, if God want to do it, why has He not done it all this while? This is a product of us waiting and expecting God to fulfil His promises in our lives within a time frame. And since time is going, we start to nurse some doubt about God’s ability and willingness to fulfil His promises in our lives. If you observe critically, most people come to that state simply because they compare their lives with others. But many of us often forget that God is taking us all the way through a different route to a different destination.  All that we need to do is to be sure that we discover and remain in the purpose of God for our lives. FRUIT BEARING

Scripture: John 15:1-8

Devotional:- "By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples".  v.8 NKJV

    We can identify a disciple by the fruit he bears. A disciple of Jesus will live like Jesus, talk and behave like Jesus. This is an evidence that he is following His master.

Jesus said we must be in close relationship with Him to be His disciple. The word of God said we need to abide in Him. This is an intimate relationship that makes us to accurately emulate the master. Any one can not be in a very close relationship with Jesus and not be able to bear the same fruit with Jesus. (Proverbs 13:20).

Please understand that we bearing Christian names does not make us Christians. Jesus said by their fruits you shall know them (Matt 7:20) These fruits are the life style of following the master. They are the fruit of the spirit (Gala 5:21). In John 15:8, Jesus said, it is only when our lives bears the fruits of the spirit that we can be called the disciple of Jesus. This means, each of us can measure if we are of Christ or not. Take time to keep close relationship with the word of God and the people of God and you will bear the fruit of Christ. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, make me a fruit bearing Christian.

FOLLOWING CHRIST                   Luke 14:25-33 Devotional Verse:- "If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple” (Vs. 26)      God has enthroned Jesus as King of kings and the Lord of lords (Revelation 17:14). Jesus earned this office by becoming the sacrificial Lamb of God for the salvation and redemption of man (Phil. 2:7-11). Therefore, every citizen of the kingdom of God must be followers and disciples of Jesus.

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.
