VALUE YOURSELF 1 Peter 2:1-10  Devotional:- “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;” (V. 9) NKJV If anyone is going to enjoy the love of God, he must see himself as lovely. One of the ways for someone to see themselves as lovely is by valuing themselves. You need to know that of all the creatures of God, not only on earth but also in heaven, you are the most special. According to the word of God, there is no other creature that is as valuable as you are. You are the reason for the labour of the devil (1 Peter 5:8). You are the envy of the demons. You are the envy of the angels. A great percentage of the angels are serving the heirs of salvation (Hebrews 1:14). The scripture we read today calls you a chosen one. That is, among the multitude, God selected you out for Himself. You are a royal priesthood, that is, you are a kingly priest...

WHY BEING LIKE CHRIST

Scripture: Luke 14:25-27
Devotional:- “If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother, wife and children,
brothers and sisters, yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple” (v.26) NKJV

    There is a strong need to know the reason we are to be like Jesus. When purpose is not known abuse is inevitable. Everyone we see in the world is either living to be like christ or like the world (John 17:16).

At creation God made us to be like Him (Genesis 1:27). His desire is that we are like Him in attitude and in character. This is because His attitude are wisdom. Attitude for our success in this world (Deuteronomy 4:6). God’s wisdom are prevailing wisdom. His wisdom is not the same to human wisdom (Isaiah 55:8). He wants us to be like Him because attitude make us win where there’s are defeated (Luke 16:10-12). His attitude makes us stand out as a light and example on our world (Matthew 5:16). His attitude make us to be put in charge and have dominion (Genesis 39:2-4). His attitude qualify us for more (Luke 16:11).

Friend becoming like christ is a major reason you are on earth. To be changed to the life style of heaven (Matthew 7:20-23). You as a child of God must therefore put in your strength by the help of the Holy Spirit to be like Jesus in love and obedience. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, give me the grace to be like Jesus.

“if you are truly His son or daughter, you will be like Him”

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
