  DON’T HATE Matthew 5:43-48  Devotional:- “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,” (V. 44) NKJV The subject of love is not always easy to practise between you, and those who have shown themselves as committed enemies. Those who will openly stand against you. Those who just hate you for no reason. Those who don’t pray that anything good should happen to you. Yet the Bible gave us a commandment in the midst of it all to love and never to hate them. What a great task! But until a Christian grows to this level, he cannot actually be called mature. The way to handle it is that we should bless those who curse us. Always do good to those who hate you. If they are moved by the spirit in them to do evil to you, be moved by the Spirit in you to love them. We cannot truly say we love till we can prayerfully demonstrate the character of love. CARRYING THE CROSS

Scripture: Luke 9:23-27

Devotional:- "Then He said to them all, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me" (v.23) NKJV

    Disciples of Jesus must know that we must pass through pain to access our gain. It is not going to be easy to change from what we have grown up to be for several years. It will be painful experiences to unlearn the wrong we have been so used to and adjust to the will of God. God’s word says even Jesus suffer to learn obedience to God (Hebrews 5:8).

Each one has to carry his/her own cross to be able to follow Christ. Cross here refers to inconveniences. Until we are ready to go through inconveniences, we may not be able to adjust to Christ. Pain is a sign of dislocation and the solution is to relocate to God. God trains His own children with challenges and we don't call it problem (Hebrews 12:6-11). A boxer need to fight to win. So, fighting is a challenge and not a problem. So braze up and stop complaining or weeping. God is your father. He loves you and cannot fail you (Deuteronomy 8:2-3). Refuse to turn back from following the Lord notwithstanding your situation. Your faith is just been tested and when you pass you will be promoted (James 1:12). God has prepared you for what you are going through and He knows you can overcome (1 Corinthians 10:13). So rise up and be strong. You will surely pass (Romans 8:18). Peace

Prayer – Lord, give me the grace to stand strong.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
