DISTANCING FROM THE SCRIPTURES

DISTANCING FROM THE SCRIPTURES Deuteronomy 8:1-11 Devotional:- “To teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD” (v.3) NIV      The word of God is the bank of our strength in God. The word of God is the strength of God (John 1:1-3; Hebrews 4:12). Through the word, God had done all He had done. God’s word says, without Him, nothing else was created (John 1:3). When a man, therefore, distances himself from the Word of God, such is distancing himself from his source, He will lack the strength of God.

RECOGNIZING THE HOLY SPIRIT

RECOGNIZING THE HOLY SPIRIT

Scripture: John 16:5-15

Devotional:- “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come” (v.13) NKJV

Every citizen of the kingdom of God must grow in knowing and recognizing the activities of the Holy Spirit. This is a vital aspect of our growth as a child of God. Without the Spirit of God, we cannot have quality relationship with God.

As people of the Holy Spirit, we must study to know Him, we must learn His ways of relating with us. We must know how He speaks and direct us, so that we can easily be guided by Him. Jesus said, “It is the Holy Spirit that will guide us into separating the truth from lies of the devil. He will reveal the mysteries of the word of God to us. He will help our mind to be able to comprehend the word and the secret things of God.

To grow in the Holy Spirit, we must study His ways in the word of God, how He helped the disciples of Jesus. How he used them to do great work for God. Someone said the book of Acts of the Apostles should be called the book of the act of the Holy Spirit.

Friend, the Holy Spirit wants to communicate with you always but you must grow into this by relating with Him according to the word of God, then your life will be peculiar unto God. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to increase in the Holy Spirit.

“The more you obey the Holy Spirit, the more He guides you”
