He is always making us to think we don’t have what we need to succeed. That is why most people often think if they have so, so and so then they would have been able to make it. But if we want to face the reality of life, right in our hands and heart lies what can make us succeed. It is true that we need the help and favour of God. FOLLOWING HIS STEPS

FOLLOWING HIS STEPS

Scripture: 1 Peter 2:18-25
Devotional:- “For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps” (v.21) NKJV

Discipleship is following the master. If we are going to be the disciples of Jesus, we must be willing to follow the steps of Jesus. This is what we should do in every aspects of our lives.

The world around us does not know the Lord, so, to make them our example will be totally wrong. That is why the way of the Lord will be odd to the ungodly. You must not emulate anyone but only those who are followers of Christ.

To be able to follow the steps of Jesus we must learn the details of His ways. This is by daily studying the word of God, to learn His ways. This way, the Holy Spirit will help us realize our wrong paths and we always make the choice of following the master. Ask, at any point of decision taken, what will Jesus do in this situation? Often time, the steps of Jesus will be different to the human approach and choices. It may even look unprofitable, but that is what will please the Lord to make us enjoy the blessing of God (Proverbs 14:12; Isaiah 55:8-12). Getting addicted to the steps of the master put you in continuos blessings of the master (Matthew 6:33). It is time to step out of worldliness into godliness. Peace

Prayer- Lord, give me the courage to always follow your ways.
