THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. PEACE MAKER

PEACE MAKER

Hebrews 12:12-17
Devotional Verse:0“Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord” (Vs. 14).

One of the greatest values that flow in the heart of the citizens of the kingdom of God is peace. This is because our Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace (Isa. 9:6). When Jesus was physically leaving the earth, He pledged to give peace to all His children by saying, “Peace I leave with you” (John 14:27). This peace is always visible in the life of any true child of God.      The Bible admonishes us to seek peace with all men by striving to be at peace with everyone around us. When we are at peace with all men, we become known as “peacemakers” (Matt. 5:9). Peacemakers create peace where there is no peace and resolve conflict.  The opposite of peace is war. A peacemaker is therefore someone who by the wisdom of God labours to unite parties that are at war. As a child of God, this should be your lifestyle. So, do all in your strength to be a peace maker.

Making peace helps you not to fall away from the grace of God. It also helps you to disallow the root of bitterness in your heart. As you do this, the peace of God will keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus and your life will be full of the sweetness of God (Philip. 4:7). Peace!

Prayer: Lord, make me a peacemaker in all situations.

“TO BE LIKE CHRIST, IS TO BE A PEACE MAKER”
