FORGIVING YOURSELF

FORGIVING YOURSELF Luke 22:54-62  Devotional:- “So Peter went out and wept bitterly.bitterly.” (V.62) NKJV Before a man can begin to enjoy the expressive love of God in his life, he must learn the act of self-forgiveness. Self-condemnation is always a terrible permission for the devil to take over in the life of a believer. This can make him lose his self-worth in God’s presence. It can make a believer lose his authority in Christ. It can make a believer lose his joy and build an environment of sorrow. And you need to know that the environment of sorrow removes from you the presence of God. He only dwells where there is fullness of joy (Psalms 16:11). Unforgiveness can make a man build an atmosphere of fear and then permit the presence of demons. This also breeds discouragement and frustration and makes the life of its victim miserable. The wonderful thing in the scripture we read today is that, though Peter denied Christ publicly and committed a grievous sin, he did not let...

WISE AGREEMENT

WISE AGREEMENT

Matthew 5:25-26
Devotional Verse:-“Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him, lest your adversary deliver you to the judge, the judge hand you over to the officer, and you be thrown into prison” (Vs. 25)

God’s word advises us to be wiser than the enemy especially when we are dealing with an unbeliever. An unbeliever can be bent on doing evil or carrying out revenge. When they demonstrate what they are, we must be willing to demonstrate the wisdom of God because we are children of God.

In our scripture, Jesus says, if anyone takes you up on a matter because he feels that you have offended him, there is no need arguing. If you are truly guilty and asked to pay back, do not hesitate. If you feel you are not guilty, then seek counsel. Be what you are in God and they are just what they are in their father (John 8:44). Jesus is not asking us to give bribes but He is saying that instead of going to court with them, we should agree with them by paying them whatever they are due. This is better than going with them to court where most of the judges are unbelievers. The Bible condemns the act of believers going to the court with another believer (1 Corinthians 6:1-8).

This does not mean that we should let people cheat us but when they do, we should learn to “let go and let God” (1 Corinthians 6:7). As you do, God will fight for you in such matter and you will keep rising in Jesus name. Peace!

Prayers: I will not be an object of intimidation and ridicule in Jesus name.
