HOW SERVANTS THINK

HOW SERVANTS THINK Numbers 14:11-25 Devotional:- “But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it” (V. 24).   To be a servant requires complete mental shift and change in attitude. Before God, attitude count more than achievement (2 Chronicles 25:2). So, when we look at how real servants think, they think more about others than themselves. Humility is not thinking less of ourselves but thinking of ourselves less (Philippians 2:4). Jesus takes the form of a servant (Philippians 2:7). We can measure our servant’s heart by how we respond when others treat us as servants. Real servants think like a steward and not owner. They keep in mind that God owns it all.  To become a real servant you’ve got to settle the issue of money in your life (Luke 16:13). Please understand that money has a great potential to replace God in our heart. When Jesus is your master...

VENGEANCE

VENGEANCE

Mathew 5:38-42
Devotional Verse:-"You have heard that it was said, 'An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth.'”  (Vs. 38).

In the ungodly world, life is tit for tat when people’s cars are mistakenly bashed. There must be a payback for any property mistakenly hit or destroyed. It is actually not out of hand to make a man pay for what he has carelessly handled as a way of discipline for him, but we must not always insist on this so as not to offend God (Romans 12:17).
In our Scripture for today, Jesus teaches us to be willing to give out things. This teaching is about being liberal and willing to let go by letting God have His way because we must not take vengeance (Romans 12:19). We all could have been involved in this before but we need to learn from the word of God to always let go. We must not be so attached to things that we start returning a slap for a slap, or an eye for an eye (Matthew 5:40).

Sometimes, we must accept that whatever is done is done. It becomes a test for us before God who is our provider. Don’t let Him stop your provision. Remember that, vengeance should be left for God (Deuteronomy 32:35).  Let Him fight for you. Prevent evil and don’t wait for them to happen before you start to think of revenge. Don’t lose your life because of properties but teach people that they must not demonstrate the bitterness of vengeance. Teach them to show love so that God will reward them. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, deliver me from the spirit of vengeance
