APPLE OF HIS EYE Zechariah 2:4-13 Devotional:- “...for he who touches you touches the apple or pupil of His eye” (V. 8) AMPL One of the most honourable and highly protected parts of our body is our eye. It is highly protected because of its importance and delicacy. The eye is the light of the body (Matthew 6:22, Luke 11:34). A man without sight is blocked without light. He will need to learn to see with the inner eye. Because of the importance of the eye, everyone takes time to wash it with all care and caution. When things are coming against it, wise people will always avoid it. When something little enters the eye, we become restless until it is removed. The truth is that you cannot allow anyone to touch your eye. It is a reflex action for you to close it at such times.

TIMES OF TRIAL
Hebrews 12:3-11 Devotional Verse:-“Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it” (Vs.11)
Every child of God must be ready for a time of test. It is one of the habits of God to allow His children to be tested once in a while (Genesis 22:1, Job 1:10-12). No one loves to be tested, but tests are the best ways to ascertain the genuineness of the heart and strength of man. A time of test is a time when God is attempting to check on our level of growth in His will. In today’s Scripture, we see that God’s word encourages us not to resist a time of temptation but to stand firm in the will of God. Even in our test, the Bible says that we must not yield to sin (Hebrews 12:4). As God’s children, we will go through all kinds of temptations but we must be firm enough to pass every test (Hebrews 4:15). We pass these tests when we resist the devil and refuse to follow his suggestions (Matthew 4:4). It is important for you to know that the purpose of temptation is for promotion (James 1:12, Hebrews 12:11). Your test could be either on finance, relationship, church family commitments, prayer life, service to God, instruction to give etc. However, in every test, learn to always ask for the assistance of the Holy Spirit who would not allow you to be tempted above what you can bear (1 Cor. 10:13). He will make a way for you. You may be going through a tough time now, don’t give in or give up. Hold on to God who will at the end of the day give you a victory and lifting! Peace! PRAYER: Lord, uphold me in trying times in Jesus’ name.
‘’TRIAL TIMES ARE NOT FOR LONGm BUT THE BLESSINGS ARE FOREVER’’
ALTERNATIVES II Kings 5:1-15 Devotional:- “Are not the Abanah and the Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them and be clean?" So he turned and went away in a rage”. (V12) NKJV It is always the trick of the devil to make us lose sight of God. So he often makes us see alternatives to God. His own goal is to take people away from God. The enemies so much make his way look easy and quick but with eternal implications. That is why you need to grow your faith and not yield to his tricks. The devil’s alternative will always be with covenants that bind into darkness.
FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans? If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.
THE GRACIOUS Exodus 34:1-8 Devotional:- “…The Lord, the Lord a God merciful and gracious, long-suffering and abundance in goodness and truth” (V.6) AMPL For believers of this Generation to have the fullness of heaven as the word of God promised, they will need to have the right understanding of who our God is. It is the wrong concept of God that has limited the exploitation of Christians and made many lives wrongly. God’s word says those who know their God shall be strong (Daniel 11:32). If you will be stronger than your challenges you must know your God.
