THANK HIM FOR ALL

THANK HIM FOR ALL Zechariah 4:1-10 Devotional:- “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; His hands shall also finish it and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you” (V. 9) KJV In such a season as this, one of the weapons of the devil to steal the joy of many is discouragement. The enemy will make them see that God has not been good to them. He will make us to think of what God has not done, and not what He has done. He will make us compare ourselves to others and so one will see other people as better.   God can provide all that you need, and He is not mindful or unfaithful to you. He gave you the one you have today, but all that is good for your life. He will also give you if you can wait on Him by faith. Such time like this should challenge us to become better to do better. Every time you are not happy with your current situation, just know that a change is about to take place in your life. It is now you who will determine ...

THE BLESSING OF PERSECUTION

THE BLESSING OF PERSECUTION

John 15:18-25
Devotional Verse:-“Remember the word that I said to you,'A servant is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also” (Vs. 20)

Jesus teaches us that the blessings of the Lord are for those who go through persecution for righteousness sake (Matt. 5:10-12). It is almost impossible for anyone to live a godly life in the world without been persecuted. Jesus said that if He was persecuted, then we will also be persecuted.

Persecution is a reaction orchestrated by darkness because you are the light of the world. In this world, people of no light always stand against the people in the light. The moment you sincerely give your life to Christ, your life will become different. Your decisions and actions will always be geared towards pleasing God. Since the world is known for the opposite, you will definitely stand out as been odd. Usually, people are criticized for doing what is wrong but in this case, you will be persecuted for doing the will of God.

Don’t feel odd whenever you are persecuted, because Jesus has said that great is your reward in heaven (Matt. 5:12). To go through the period of persecution successfully, ensure that you stay close to the fellowship of brethren where you are recognized (Act 4:23). Refuse to be discouraged. Don’t be offended in God (Matthew 11:6). The Lord will see you through and make your story a blessing to your world. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, uphold me in times of persecution
