UPROOTING

UPROOTING Devotional:- Jeremiah 1:1-12 “See, I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms, To root out and to pull down, To destroy and to throw down, To build and to plant”(V. 10) NKJV One of the ministries you are into as a child of God is the ministry of planting and uprooting. God, your father, is a planter from the beginning, and you can not be less (Genesis 2:8). You are also called to uproot whatever is not of the will of God. Jesus said every tree that my father has not planted shall be uprooted (Matthew 15:13). That was a prophecy about you. Because you have a mandate to uproot, it is high time you wake up to this responsibility, taking the weapon of the word of God in your hand. Whatever you observe around you that you know is not the will of God for your life, it is your responsibility to uproot it. So take the authority of the name of Jesus and start to deal with failure, sicknesses, poverty, stagnancy, confusion and the like. Command them to be uprooted ...

WHERE IS YOUR TREASURE

WHERE IS YOUR TREASURE

Matthew 6:19-21
Devotional Verse-“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also” (Vs. 21)

It is the lifestyle of God’s kingdom citizens to always give sacrificially. In the realm of the spirit, the way to tap into God’s favour is by sacrificial giving. This is not what we should do once in a while. Whoever wants to partake in God’s blessings must give willingly and consistently. The key word here is ‘consistency’ (Psalms 126:5, Gal. 6:9-10, Eccl. 11:1-2).

In our Scripture today, Jesus talked about where our giving should be focused on. Jesus said that giving should not be channeled towards the earth, but towards heaven. This becomes possible when our giving is in accordance with the Biblical instructions and directives from God. Jesus is actually teaching us to put our treasures in heaven. Our treasures are our valuables. Investment in God’s kingdom is void of inflation or corruptible factors.

You can bank on the faithfulness of God, because He will always bless you in times of need (Phil. 4:19).  It is what you keep in heaven that you will meet when you get there. That is the reason we should be wise and invest for heavenly treasures. This helps us to focus on eternity with God rather than gathering the riches of the earth which will be eventually perish. As you give sacrificially, you and your family will not lack timely provision in Jesus name. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, help me to always put my treasures in you.

“IT IS WHAT GOES UP THAT COMES DOWN”.
