PRAISE THROUGH

PRAISE THROUGH Psalm 149:1-9 Devotional:- “Let them praise His name with the dance let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp” (V.3) The end of every year is always known for jubilation and celebration. But men often lose focus of it’s purpose to ordinary celebration and even Sometimes to their own harm. But to you this time should be celebrated with understanding. It should be that you should look back and see how much God has done for you. Do not allow the enemy to make you see what is not working but what has wonderfully worked for you in the year. How God has preserve you and your children and relation from the first to the last month. So dance not in celebration without understanding but in celebration with appreciation.  You need to know that you are not only to appreciate Him for what He has done but for what He shall do. See, the devil never wanted you to dance this time because he knows that what you start the year with will fill the year for you. So no ...

ANGER AND RECONCILIATION

ANGER AND RECONCILIATION

Matthew 5:20-22
Devotional Verse:-“But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother,'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says,'You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire” (Vs. 22).

When a man is angry naturally, he looks for a way to carry out revenge. This is because he needs to unleash his anger on someone. Anger, when not really subdued in the heart of a man can cause death. That is why the word of God tells us that though we can be angry, we must not commit sin (Ephesians 4:26).
In our Scripture for today, Jesus told us that we should learn to live above anger. We must cultivate the habit of forgiving others instead. Remember that it was the anger which Cain didn’t take care of that made him murder his brother (Genesis 4:4-8). It was also because of anger that Joab the captain of the army of David murdered Abner in cold blood (II Samuel 3:20). Jesus said that this will lead to eternity in hell if not taken care of.

It is the lifestyle of kingdom citizens to reconcile with offenders and not allow anger to build up bitterness that leads to a bitter life (Hebrews 12:15). God commands us to bless and not to curse (Romans 12:14). Friend, there is no curse that is right. All that should come out of your mouth as a child of God even in the heat of anger should be blessing and peace. This is because what comes out of your mouth is from the state of your heart (Matthew 12:34). Let your words always bless others from a blessed heart and not curse. Remember also that your words are your seed and they shall become your future harvest (Galatians 6:7). Always sow the word of His blessing and that shall be your harvest. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, give me the grace to live above the spirit of anger.
