APPLE OF HIS EYE Zechariah 2:4-13 Devotional:- “...for he who touches you touches the apple or pupil of His eye” (V. 8) AMPL One of the most honourable and highly protected parts of our body is our eye. It is highly protected because of its importance and delicacy. The eye is the light of the body (Matthew 6:22, Luke 11:34). A man without sight is blocked without light. He will need to learn to see with the inner eye. Because of the importance of the eye, everyone takes time to wash it with all care and caution. When things are coming against it, wise people will always avoid it. When something little enters the eye, we become restless until it is removed. The truth is that you cannot allow anyone to touch your eye. It is a reflex action for you to close it at such times.

ANGER AND RECONCILIATION
Matthew 5:20-22 Devotional Verse:-“But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother,'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says,'You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire” (Vs. 22).
When a man is angry naturally, he looks for a way to carry out revenge. This is because he needs to unleash his anger on someone. Anger, when not really subdued in the heart of a man can cause death. That is why the word of God tells us that though we can be angry, we must not commit sin (Ephesians 4:26). In our Scripture for today, Jesus told us that we should learn to live above anger. We must cultivate the habit of forgiving others instead. Remember that it was the anger which Cain didn’t take care of that made him murder his brother (Genesis 4:4-8). It was also because of anger that Joab the captain of the army of David murdered Abner in cold blood (II Samuel 3:20). Jesus said that this will lead to eternity in hell if not taken care of. It is the lifestyle of kingdom citizens to reconcile with offenders and not allow anger to build up bitterness that leads to a bitter life (Hebrews 12:15). God commands us to bless and not to curse (Romans 12:14). Friend, there is no curse that is right. All that should come out of your mouth as a child of God even in the heat of anger should be blessing and peace. This is because what comes out of your mouth is from the state of your heart (Matthew 12:34). Let your words always bless others from a blessed heart and not curse. Remember also that your words are your seed and they shall become your future harvest (Galatians 6:7). Always sow the word of His blessing and that shall be your harvest. Peace! Prayer: Lord, give me the grace to live above the spirit of anger.
ALTERNATIVES II Kings 5:1-15 Devotional:- “Are not the Abanah and the Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not wash in them and be clean?" So he turned and went away in a rage”. (V12) NKJV It is always the trick of the devil to make us lose sight of God. So he often makes us see alternatives to God. His own goal is to take people away from God. The enemies so much make his way look easy and quick but with eternal implications. That is why you need to grow your faith and not yield to his tricks. The devil’s alternative will always be with covenants that bind into darkness.
FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans? If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.
THE GRACIOUS Exodus 34:1-8 Devotional:- “…The Lord, the Lord a God merciful and gracious, long-suffering and abundance in goodness and truth” (V.6) AMPL For believers of this Generation to have the fullness of heaven as the word of God promised, they will need to have the right understanding of who our God is. It is the wrong concept of God that has limited the exploitation of Christians and made many lives wrongly. God’s word says those who know their God shall be strong (Daniel 11:32). If you will be stronger than your challenges you must know your God.
