SERVE HIM

SERVE HIM John 12:20-30  Devotional:- “If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor” (V. 26) NKJV One of the demands of love is a sense of responsibility towards one another. A very sincere definition of love is responsibility. True love is known in willingness to serve each other. Your level of love for a man is determined by the level of commitment you have to his life and destiny. You cannot prove that you love someone without showing a strong level of responsibility to such. This means true love is embedded in serving one another. One of the strong teachings of Jesus to us, as His lover, is that we must be ready to lay down our lives in service to bless others, as He did for us. That is why He said, “He who loves his life shall lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life” (John 12:25). Unless we are willing to sow and be sown in service, we may not p...

LOVE YOUR ENEMY

LOVE YOUR ENEMY

Matthew 5:43-48
Devotional Verse:- “But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you” (Vs. 44).

When we act in love, we demonstrate what is in our heart (Matthew 12:35). If we are truly changed people, we will crave to demonstrate love in all that we do (John 13:35). To know whether we are truly changed or not, God always uses cases that looks negative to test us (Deut. 8:2-3). So, let us learn ahead of time to pass whenever we are tested.
Jesus said that if we love only our friends, then we are not better than the unbelievers who also love their friends (Matthew 5:46). Wicked people make friends amongst themselves and take care of themselves. What is the difference between the unbeliever and us? If we are truly children of God, then we must forgive and love our enemies. God gives His rain and sun to both the wicked and the Righteous (Matthew 5:44-45).

To be able to love everyone, we must grow in the habit of forgiving people (Matthew 6:14-15). We must learn to always love people so that when they demonstrate hatred towards us, we will show them love because that is what we are. This is only possible when we pray for our enemies like Jesus has commanded us (Luke 23:34). When you do this, your heart will be rich and mature in God (Matthew 5:48). Then you will be ready for your lifting in God. Peace!

Prayer: Lord Plant the spirit of love in my heart in Jesus name.

“WHATEVER YOU DEMONSTRATE IS YOUR QUALITY”.
