HOURS OF PRAYER  Acts 3:1-10 Devotional:- “Now Peter and John went up together to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour” (V.1) NKJV   🎙 Victory Daily Devotional HOUSE OF PRAYER Support Us Acts 3:1-10 Remi Agbabiaka Outreach Ministry (RAOM)  |  victorydaily.blogspot.com Most people only pray or want to pray when they are faced with challenges. But for growing children of God. Prayer is not just making a demand. It is also creating time to be with our father. Much more than our request, God wants us around Him. He wants us always to speak and commune with Him.   Observing the scripture, you will discover prayer has been the habit of all men of God, including Jesus Christ (Luke 6:12). Jesus spent many of his nights praying and the days working. And when He was teaching the disciples, He said, “Pray lest you fall into temptatio...

SALT AND LIGHT

SALT AND LIGHT

Matthew 5:13-16
Devotional Verse:- "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men” (Vs. 13).

Salt has the characteristics of sweetening, preserving and cleansing just like light has the nature of illuminating, revealing and dominating darkness. In His teachings, Jesus likened believers to salt and light. These are the two powerful combinations that ordained every child of God to stand out and be a blessing wherever they are.
Like the salt, our lifestyles should bring sweetness to every relationship and community we find ourselves. This can be done if we remain in the peace and joy of God wherever we are (Philip. 4:4-5). Also, like salt preserves, we should be the sustainer of all good things around us by enduring with others and standing by faith in the word of God (Hebrews 1:3). To cleanse like salt does, we should be the cleansing agent wherever we are either in the house or office. This is by been an example of righteousness in all situation and others can emulate us for good.

To illuminate as light, we are expected to bring understanding of wisdom and truth everywhere, so that people can see rightly. Through the light in us, we should prevail over darkness (John 1:5). This includes living by faith to overcome in all situations (1 John 5:4). Every one of us should take time to inculcate these characteristics into our lives so that it can become our lifestyle. In doing this, you will find the grace to reflect the glory of God (1 Peter 2:9). Peace!

Prayer: Lord, make me a sweetening agent and a light everywhere.

“BE THE SALT AND LIGHT EVERYONE NEEDS!”
