This is always the plan of the enemy. But I need to let you know that the moment you give up, you simply give up your destiny. Men may say so many things about you or let you feel you are doing nothing when you are putting in your best. Yet you must refuse to be discouraged.   David was a man who had cause to be discouraged in life, but he always refused. One such account is what we read tod...

COURAGE

COURAGE

1 Samuel 17:31-51
Devotional:- “Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God" (V. 36)

Courage is a product of light and light is by revelation. For a man to encounter revelation about the power and the glory of God, he must give himself to meditating in the word of God. No matter who a man is or what a man is; he will still be afraid at the face of the threat of the devil or situations bigger than him. But, it is light that can shatter or dispel darkness.

God wanted Joshua to build up in courage and He showed him the way of courage (Joshua 1:8). You don’t gain courage because you have muscle, if not, it is not David that should be bold to confront Goliath (1 Samuel 17:32). He did not gain courage by muscle, but by light (1 Samuel 17:26, 36, 45). David had the revelation of the fact that the army of the living God cannot be defiled or defeated. This revelation built spiritual courage in him so much that he was courageous to confront Goliath.

Friend, it is the deception of the devil to make you play down on the word of God. The word is your strength (Daniel 11:32). Don’t think life is just casual. Take time to regularly meditate in God’s word. Stop arguing or rationalizing it with your brain. Create quality time to study and meditate in His word daily. And the world will hear about your victory. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, strengthen me by your words.
