And we do not know that the devil we are facing is a master strategist. He often looks for our weak areas of life to come in and defeat us.   Jesus was explaining one of the strongest principles of victory for us in the scripture we read today. KNOWING THE TRUTH

KNOWING THE TRUTH

John 8:31-36
Devotional:- “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free" (V. 32)

Standing in victory demands that, we have the belt of the truth around us always. It is through this that we can brace up ourselves to stand strong in victory (Ephesians 6:14). It is the knowledge of the truth that gives our heart the confidence and the courage to stand in victory. This knowledge is not just in knowing. It is in accessing the revelation of the word of God. The truth is written all over the Bible, but it takes revelation to find it. And it takes revelation to truly access the power in it (Ephesians 1: 17-18).

What is the truth? It is the revelation of the fact that we have been given the power to become sons of God (John 1:12). It is the knowledge that Jesus died, that we might live. He rose again on the third day. By His death and resurrection, He has conquer the powers of the devil (John 19:30). The truth is that, all powers in heaven and on earth is now given to Jesus alone (Matthew 28:18). The truth is that, the devil and his host has lost all their powers and left with devices (Revelation 12:7-8; 2 Corinthians 2:11).

The truth is that Jesus is now seated in the place of power (Ephesians 1:20-21). The truth is that we as His body has been given grace to sit with Him in power (Ephesians 1:22-23; 2:5-6). We now have the authority to cast the devil and his host out wherever we see them (Luke 10:19; Mark 16:17-18). You cannot truly have the revelation of these truths and remain in defeat. You can gain the revelation of these truths by meditation over them. The faith produced by the revelation of this truth will drive you to pray till you will prevail. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, reveal the truth of my victory to me
