RELEASING OTHERS

RELEASING OTHERS Matthew 18:21-35   Devotional:- "So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses” (V. 35) NKJV Men can easily shout, “Away with him, kill him,” to others because they are not the offender. Very many parents will bitterly discipline their children for an offence they too have committed in the past, for which they were not killed. It is always easy to be a judge, though most judges cannot stand the face of trial. That is why the word of God instructs us not to judge others (Matthew 7:1-6). The scripture we read today reveals the wickedness of men. A man who owed his master so much, just like we all owe God so much. He was forgiven by his master, but cannot forgive his fellow servant. He rather locked him up in police custody for torment. His master heard and also reversed his decision on him for judgement.  Friend, who are the people you have refused to forgive? No matter what they...

OPERATING AUTHORITY

OPERATING AUTHORITY

Luke 10:13-20
Devotional:- “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (V. 19)

When a man is standing in victory, he will equally stand in authority. This is because victory is a product of gaining more power to conquer an opponent.  Such people seems to have a sense of been in charge wherever they are. They operate with a victorious mentality and not defeated mentality.

Jesus said “He has given us the authority to overcome all the powers of the enemy. To be given authority is like someone having the control over a thing and delegate the control to you. The issue is that, we did not fight and conquer the devil. It was Jesus that did that and now delegates the control over the forces of wickedness to us. That is why you need a mind shift to operate in authority delegated to you by the Lord Jesus.

Every authority has power under their control (Matthew 8:8-9). The authority is the controller and the power is the one that execute the words given by the authority. This means, as you operate in authority, God make His forces available to carry out your words (Psalms 103:20). Understanding this makes you stand in victory. Elisha knew that there are forces with them, but his servant became worried because he did not know (2 kings 6:15-17). Take your place in authority. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, give me the light of my authority in you.
