ALL WORKING TOGETHER

ALL WORKING TOGETHER Romans 8:18-30 Devotional:- “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (v.28) NKJV Sometimes, because dates and times are rolling, we tend to start to think if the will of God will ever come to pass in our lives again. Some will ask, if God want to do it, why has He not done it all this while? This is a product of us waiting and expecting God to fulfil His promises in our lives within a time frame. And since time is going, we start to nurse some doubt about God’s ability and willingness to fulfil His promises in our lives. If you observe critically, most people come to that state simply because they compare their lives with others. But many of us often forget that God is taking us all the way through a different route to a different destination.  All that we need to do is to be sure that we discover and remain in the purpose of God for our lives. Others might look much ...

TERRIBLE BOSS

TERRIBLE BOSS

I Samuel 22:9-19
Devotional:- “Then the king said to the guards who stood about him, "Turn and kill the priests of the LORD, because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled and did not tell it to me." But the servants of the king would not lift their hands to strike the priests of the Lord” (V.17) NKJV

People who do not understand leadership principles or work in it and yet are leaders are often found as bosses. Such people are not there to lead others by example but to destroy the company with their office. They are not ready to serve but only want to lord over others. They have no good plan for their company or nation but they are selfish in their thinking. There is nothing such people cannot do when the power is in their hands.

Some Christians find themselves in an office with such people in leadership and that becomes a challenge for such a child of God. Such Christians could be sent on any wrong assignment that would be against their faith. Such is King Saul we read about today. He was so terrible that he did not see it as wickedness to kill the priest of God. But some people under him still have the fear of God and they will not join in this evil

As a child of God, if you are faced with this kind of challenge around you, what you need to do is ask for the wisdom of God to relate with such a leader successfully. Let them know you as a child of God who will not compromise with unrighteousness. That will create a limit to the extent they will want to get you involved in their act. Always commit such leaders to the hand of the Lord. When you are to work with such a leader, pray that God clothe you with His fear and glory. Pray that the Lord will touch his heart before you get to him (Proverbs 21:1). Humble yourself also, but firm. Then you will see the goodness of the Lord. While others are shouted on, you will be humbly welcomed. Don’t join anyone to do evil because he is your boss. God will make you special to him. He will be afraid of God in you and you will be flourishing in famine.

PRAYER: LORD, GIVE ME THE WISDOM TO STAND NOTWITHSTANDING.

“WITH THE WISDOM OF GOD, EVEN THE WICKED WILL HONOUR YOU”
