SUCCESS YOUR PURPOSE 2 Timothy 4:1-8 Devotional:- “And now the prize awaits me-the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing” (V. 8) NLT When a person turns to the Lord, invite Jesus to his/her life, and surrender to Jesus as Lord and saviour, then he/she sincerely becomes a Christian. This is the state many in the church has not attained. Many struggle to surrender their lives to the Lord because they are afraid of failure, not able to trust God to give them success, and their love for the things of this world (1 John 2:15-17). When you sincerely surrender your life to Jesus Christ, your view of success cannot but change. Apostle Paul said, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful” (2 Timothy 4:7). JILTED LOVE

II Samuel 13:7-18
Devotional:- “Then Amnon hated her exceedingly, so that the hatred with which he hated her was greater than the love with which he had loved her. And Amnon said to her, "Arise, be gone!” (V. 15) NKJV

    Today many people in the world have become victims of love that has been turned to hatred. The best of friends sometimes can become the worst enemies. Some marriages that started full of love have turned bitter. Many couples have rendered their marriage vows null and void. Some spouses have allowed the third party to destroy their relationship. And someone is always a victim of such evil.

Ammon the son David demonstrated immaturity in operating fake love. This kind of love is called infatuation or lust. This is what young people always mistake for love. But the end of it is often hatred. The reason why there are many jilted loves today is because the foundation of most love affairs is not sure (Psalm 11:3). The foundation is mostly infatuation and insincerity. It is a product of the indiscipline of the sexual urge. Instead of dealing with this weakness, some assume sleeping around will solve it. That was what killed Samson and brought Solomon down.

Many spouses also give in to the devil to allow a third party to break their love. This is often due to the carelessness of one who may be playing a foolish game till it turns around to be a trouble. If anyone is a victim of jilted love, let him make Jesus his or her lover. Make Him your friend. Let Him redirect your life. Forgive the one that jilted you for your peace to be established. Then make yourself available for the service of God. And the Lord will recognize your life. He will turn around your life. And you will have testimonies.

PRAYER: LORD, RESTORE YOUR PEACE AND LOVE TO MY HEART.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
