HOPE

HOPE Psalm 42:1-11 Devotional:- “Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God” (v.11) NKJV If any man will experience sustaining joy, he must first be hopeful. Hope is the strength of joy. Hope is the reason for the coming joy. It is an expectation according to the will of God. It is an assurance of a coming joy (Hebrews 12:2). It is also the strength of faith (Hebrews 11:1). If there is no hope, there may also not be joy, but a man of hope will continue in joy. Oftentimes, we observe the current happenings around us, and it looks like there is no hope. The truth is that current events are not the determining factor for our tomorrow. God’s word says we cannot compare the suffering of now to the glory that is coming (Romans 8:18). The truth is that no hope can be genuine till it has a sure and certain promise. This is a promise that cannot fail, and that is why our hope should be in...

IT IS FINISHED

IT IS FINISHED

John 19:28-30
Devotional:- “So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, "It is finished!" And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit” (V. 30) NKJV

No matter the battles or challenges we may be going through today, Jesus’ statement is the final. That will always be the endpoint. No matter what the enemy is doing in our lives, Jesus has said, “It is finished”. The strength of our faith is the revelation of God’s word to our hearts. If you could grasp an in-depth understanding of the statement, “it is finished”, then you are a perpetual winner.

When Jesus went to the cross, He did not go because of His sin. He went there to represent you and I. He suffered what we should suffer. God allowed it to be so to release you and me from the sorrow and troubles of this world. He became a sacrifice for our sins. And all the burdens of our troubles were put on Him. And since there must be shedding of blood for our sins to be removed, He shed His blood for us. (Hebrew 9: 22).

And when all things are concluded in heaven and earth, Jesus declared. “It is finished”. In other words, your sickness, afflictions, sorrows, troubles, etc., are finished. All that the devil may want to do against you are finished. The devil is just a headless snake. Jesus has swallowed his sting in victory (I Corinthians 15:54). So, whenever you are faced with any challenge, remember and declare, “IT IS FINISHED” Never say you are finished. Let this strengthen your faith to overcome. Refuse to get frustrated or discouraged. Always see the end of the battle from the beginning. It doesn’t matter what you are going through. "It is finished”. Embarrass the devil with this always and gain your victory. Say it loud, “It is finished”.

PRAYER: THANK YOU, LORD, BECAUSE YOU HAVE FINISHED ALL THAT WAS DEVISED TO FINISH ME.

“NO MATTER WHAT I AM FEELING, WHAT IS FINISHED IS FINISHED”
