FLOATING AXE

FLOATING AXE Devotional:- 2 Kings 6:1-7 “So the man of God said, "Where did it fall?" And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float’’ (V.6) NKJV  Sometimes when we read about some great wonders of God in the Bible, something makes us feel it was because the people were very special. But we need to know that they are men of like passion (James 5:17-18). They were just exactly like we are, but they were only men of faith. This makes God to work wonders through them. The sons of the prophet needed a big place of dwelling. So they decide to cut trees to make a new home. Thank God they requested that Elisha should go with them. As they were cutting the trees, the axe head fell into the deep river. And the man of God asked the Holy Spirit for what to do. The Holy Spirit was what they also depended upon, and there was a miracle. Friend, you also have the Holy Spirit. That stick is the word of God. Speak to the sinking situatio...

STORM

STORM

Matthew 8:23-27
Devotional:- “But He said to them, "Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?" Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.” (V. 26) NKJV

Sometimes in the life of people, stormy situations could arise. This is often a period of total confusion. A period that the enemy wants to take advantage of. For one reason or the other, there could just be one form of problem or another all around. And it looks as if life is at the endpoint of life. It is a time when it looks as if it is finished for you. At such a time people may desert you and it may look as if you are the only one facing challenges on earth. In such a period many people ask: “God where is your face?” And we ask if He is still alive. Little do we realize that when a situation begins to turn so bad, it is just about to turn good. I don’t know what the situation is like with you, your work, family, finances, or academics. This happens to people when they see more of their situation and not the power of God available to them.

The disciples of Jesus had also faced stormy situations before. Though Jesus was in the boat, the disciples lost sight of Him. It is a period to test us before our triumph. The enemy is aware of the glory ahead of us and wants to see if he can frustrate us and turn us against God before the release of that glory (Romans 6:18-20). All you need to do in this kind of situation is to keep your eye on Jesus as your saviour (Hebrews 12:2). He will save you and preserve your glorious future; knowing that He shall fulfill them. Then settle down in your heart to see the force of God and His power around you. Always speak the word of God by faith to the situation. This will grow your faith, and then start to rebuke the storms one by one. Soon, there shall be great calm all around you. The enemy is only trying your faith. You will win at last and men shall marvel at your God.

PRAYER: LORD, STRENGTHEN MY FAITH TO SEE MY CALMNESS.
