SUCCESS AND YOUR PURPOSE

SUCCESS YOUR PURPOSE 2 Timothy 4:1-8 Devotional:- “And now the prize awaits me-the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing” (V. 8) NLT When a person turns to the Lord, invite Jesus to his/her life, and surrender to Jesus as Lord and saviour, then he/she sincerely becomes a Christian. This is the state many in the church has not attained. Many struggle to surrender their lives to the Lord because they are afraid of failure, not able to trust God to give them success, and their love for the things of this world (1 John 2:15-17). When you sincerely surrender your life to Jesus Christ, your view of success cannot but change. Apostle Paul said, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful” (2 Timothy 4:7). When you start to live for God, your definition of success will change from materials to purpose. Liv...

LACK OF PURPOSE

LACK OF PURPOSE

Judges 9:8-15
Devotional:- “But the olive tree said to them, 'Should I cease giving my oil, With which they honor God and men, And go to sway over trees?' (V. 9) NKJV

One of the strongest weapons against the success of most people on earth is lack of purpose. This is a primary prerequisite to the fulfillment of all humans in life. We are often blindfolded with greed and what we want to gain, which shifts our focus from our purpose that would have aided our success. If only all humans would understand their purpose, then there would be no need for anyone to be envious of another. There will be no need for anyone to become an armed robber. And there will be no reason for anyone to be poor.

Each tree that we read about today, recognized its purpose and wouldn’t allow the distraction of becoming a king to pervert it. Please, understand that your purpose is not to be determined but discovered. Your God is the one that determines It

Purpose can be discovered in two dimensions. First is the primary purpose: which has to do with your purpose of existence; what you are here (on earth) to do or carry out. Don’t forget that this is the only factor that will give meaning to your life. The word of the Lord says, “Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails” (Proverbs 19:21 NLT). Until you locate this, life continues to be a struggle. This first purpose can be located by vision and by observing things you find easy or enjoy doing most.

The second purpose has to do with what we do daily with a purposeful mind. This should be to bring glory to God, to demonstrate love to others, to learn and grow the character Christ, to be a blessing to others, and to win others to the kingdom of God. Aim at achieving all you do. Then, you will find the grace of God to excel. Every man is anointed for exploits in his area of purpose. Stop imitating others. Sit down and discover yourself. Discover what you like to do to bless others, this will help you to discover your purpose for living and you will be a blessing to others.

PRAYER: Lord, GUIDE ME TO KNOW MY PURPOSE.

“A MAN WILL ONLY EXCEL IN HIS PURPOSE”
