THE HEART OF WORSHIP

THE HEART OF WORSHIP Romans 6:1-14 Devotional:- “And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God” (V. 13) Since worship is our first purpose on earth we need to know that worship will not be worship if we don’t surrender to God. So, surrendering is the heart of worship. In our world today, surrender sound negative. It could mean to give up or losing or admit your defeat. But it is giving ourselves to God not out of fear or necessity but in love (1 John 4:9-19). Three things often attempt to block our mind from total surrendering to God, fear, pride and confusion. As kingdom citizen, please know it that you must learn to trust God. A woman will not be able to surrender to her husband if she does not trust him and so also you to God. To truly surrender to God, you must admit your weaknesses and limitations. That is when you truly want to ask ...

DREAMS

DREAMS

Genesis 41:1-8
Devotional:- “Now it came to pass in the morning that his spirit was troubled, and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt and all its wise men. And Pharaoh told them his dreams, but there was no one who could interpret them for Pharaoh” (V.8) NKJV

There is hardly a man, who does not dream. A dream is quite different from a vision, though vision could be communicated through dreams. Dreams have become a way by which the devil has tormented many people. Such people experience bad dreams and they become afraid and troubled. We could see the same thing happening in the scripture we read today.

As children of God, our dreams are not supposed to trouble us. As we observe in the scripture, there are three major sources by which dreams come to us. Some are from God to communicate His counsel to us. An example is the one we read today. Anytime such comes your way, pray to the Holy Spirit to explain them to you and He will. Another source comes from many activities. That is, the thought we fill our mind with (Ecclesiastes 5:3). If you are thinking about someone, you could easily dream about him or her.

The third source is from the devil. This is the one that always terrifies people and lures them into confusion. Anytime you find yourself in any dream you don’t like, wake up and erase it in the name of Jesus. Don’t be bound by any bad dream. They are like the negative of a photograph, if you don’t develop them, they will not become real. You bring it to life by meditating on it repeatedly. When the dream is confusing, erase it by the blood of Jesus (Hebrews 9:22)

Don’t allow dreams to determine your thoughts. If not, they will come to pass. The moment you cancel it, it is cancelled (Isaiah 54:17). You need to grow strong to be able to guide your heart against negative thoughts (Proverbs 4:23). Throw the thought to the waste bin and live by faith. Let the word of God become the standard of your faith and thought (Philippians 4:8). Don’t give in to the deceit of the devil. Your God is not the author of confusion. You are created for glory and that is what will manifest in your life in Jesus name.

PRAYER: LORD, STRENGTHEN ME TO ALWAYS OVERCOME BAD DREAMS.
