LOVING THE LORD

LOVING THE LORD  John 14:19-24 Devotional:- “Jesus answered and said to him, "If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him” (V. 23) NKJV      It is important that we as believers truly love the Lord. It is only those who love the Lord that will enjoy the best of God. Do not be part of Christians who handle the things of God carelessly. No one can stay distant and enjoy the best of a relationship. Therefore, you must grow your love for God if you are His child.

BOTTLING OFFENCES

BOTTLING OFFENCES

Matthew 11:1-6
Devotional:- "And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.” (V. 6)

What has caged the mind of many people from doing well which in turn has affected their lives is the act of bottling offences. Most people do not know that when you can't forgive people they are caging themselves. Unforgiveness is a sin more against oneself. Any time we remember people offend us we experience bitterness of mind and get wounded the more.

Funny enough, the person that offended us may not even sense he has offended anyone and is going about his life freely. But the offended is the one carrying about the sorrow.

John the Baptist was offended but did right to express it to Jesus. But some will not say it. They would rather suppress it and think they’ve forgiven. But you will know you’ve not forgiven when you see the person then you feel more pain. This will eventually lead to being wounded and neglected. Why not call the offender and let him know you are offended like John Baptist did and you will loose yourself from pain.

Prayer: Lord, help me to lose myself from bitterness of heart

“When you speak out, you will release yourself”.
