MY REFUGE Psalms 46:1-7 Devotional:- "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” (V. 1) It is always very easy for men to say God is not good to them when they have a pressing need. But if you observe it carefully, wisdom will let you always appreciate Him. It is not every one that began this year that is still alive now. Many were faced with challenges greater than themselves and were swallowed up. If you listen to the reasons for their falls, they are not too great. The truth is that you also have passed through challenges greater than theirs, but God was your refuge. Anytime you run to Him, you will find a hiding place in Him. Even when it looks like the situation wants to swallow you, you still find strength for help in God. BOTTLING OFFENCES

BOTTLING OFFENCES

Matthew 11:1-6
Devotional:- "And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.” (V. 6)

What has caged the mind of many people from doing well which in turn has affected their lives is the act of bottling offences. Most people do not know that when you can't forgive people they are caging themselves. Unforgiveness is a sin more against oneself. Any time we remember people offend us we experience bitterness of mind and get wounded the more.

Funny enough, the person that offended us may not even sense he has offended anyone and is going about his life freely. But the offended is the one carrying about the sorrow.

John the Baptist was offended but did right to express it to Jesus. But some will not say it. They would rather suppress it and think they’ve forgiven. But you will know you’ve not forgiven when you see the person then you feel more pain. This will eventually lead to being wounded and neglected. Why not call the offender and let him know you are offended like John Baptist did and you will loose yourself from pain.

Prayer: Lord, help me to lose myself from bitterness of heart

“When you speak out, you will release yourself”.
