  NEVER BREAK YOU 1 Corinthians 10:6-13  Devotional:- “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it“ (V. 13) NKJV When some people go through challenges today, it looks as if the end has come. And sometimes we think, it is going to be forever. But God’s love is revealed to us even in our challenges. His help and strength are always available to us, even in our most difficult situations. He has promised never to leave us alone. He is right there with you in your challenges. And that is why you cannot be swallowed nor destroyed, even by any situation you may be facing right now. The scripture we read today says, God will not watch us fall into any pit of trouble above what we can come out from. That means, He is looking at you in that situation, He knows your shame. HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM

Acts 2:1-13
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. (V. 4)

    To be a true believer you must not just receive the Holy Spirit at convention, you must be baptised with the Holy Spirit. To be baptised with the Holy Spirit is to be filled with Him. It is to be full of Him so much that there will be no room for another spirit in you anymore. It is to be taken over by the Holy Spirit.

Before someone is filled with the Holy Spirit, he/she is first filled with the Spirit of the flesh, which is the spirit of the world ruled by the devil (2 Corinthians 4:4). It can also be called the spirit of self. So for someone to be filled with the Holy Spirit, you must first be humble to sincerely denounce the spirit of self or flesh. It is by this we are ready and open enough for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. When you are really baptised with the Holy Spirit, it is then you really begin to enjoy God (Romans 8:9).

Friend, the hindrance to the baptism of the Holy Spirit is people’s inability to let go self and flesh. You must be humble enough to put this aside an open up to the Holy Spirit, then he will start to teach you and lead you (John 14:26). If you are not always led by the Holy Spirit then you are a baby in the spirit (Romans 8:14). This not a safe level for a child of God (Galatians 4:1). You need to be a growing Christian to be a mature believer. Peace!

Prayer, Lord, give me the humble spirit to open up to the Holy Spirit

“Only those who are baptized of the Holy Spirit are the temple of God”

The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
