  GIFT AND GRACE Romans 12:3-8 Devotional:- “We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith”(V. 6) NIV   One of the means through which we can demonstrate our love to others is by using the grace and the gifts that are in our lives. As a child of God, you are privileged to enjoy two levels of gifts. The first are the talents and gifts. The second are the gifts of the Holy Spirit. There is no one who is not talented in one area or the other. It may be to cook, sing, design, draw or write. It could also be in the area of sport or decoration. But as a child of God, there is another dimension of gifts in your life given by the Holy Spirit. These are gifts of prophecy, healing, knowledge, wisdom, working of miracles, discernment of spirit, diverse tongues or interpretation of tongues (1 Corinthians 12:6-10). HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM

Acts 2:1-13
And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. (V. 4)

    To be a true believer you must not just receive the Holy Spirit at convention, you must be baptised with the Holy Spirit. To be baptised with the Holy Spirit is to be filled with Him. It is to be full of Him so much that there will be no room for another spirit in you anymore. It is to be taken over by the Holy Spirit.

Before someone is filled with the Holy Spirit, he/she is first filled with the Spirit of the flesh, which is the spirit of the world ruled by the devil (2 Corinthians 4:4). It can also be called the spirit of self. So for someone to be filled with the Holy Spirit, you must first be humble to sincerely denounce the spirit of self or flesh. It is by this we are ready and open enough for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. When you are really baptised with the Holy Spirit, it is then you really begin to enjoy God (Romans 8:9).

Friend, the hindrance to the baptism of the Holy Spirit is people’s inability to let go self and flesh. You must be humble enough to put this aside an open up to the Holy Spirit, then he will start to teach you and lead you (John 14:26). If you are not always led by the Holy Spirit then you are a baby in the spirit (Romans 8:14). This not a safe level for a child of God (Galatians 4:1). You need to be a growing Christian to be a mature believer. Peace!

Prayer, Lord, give me the humble spirit to open up to the Holy Spirit

“Only those who are baptized of the Holy Spirit are the temple of God”

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
