YOUR VICTORY IS WAITING

YOUR VICTORY IS WAITING John 16:25-33  Devotional:- “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world” (v. 33) NKJV It is of great importance that we recognize that there are two forces ruling the earth. They are the forces of God, and devil; light, and darkness, or good, and evil, You can refer to them in any of these ways. These two forces are consistently against each other. That is why darkness and light don’t co-exist. The moment there is light, darkness cannot stand there. But you will observe that one is stronger than the other. For example, if you are in a room and it is dark, if you put on the light darkness gives way. But it is impossible for darkness to come and off the light, or take over from light or chase light away. God is light and the enemy is darkness. “The light shines through the darkness and the darkness can never extinguish it” (John 1:5) TLB. This ...

PEOPLE PLEASING

PEOPLE PLEASING

Matthew 14:1-12
Devotional:- "And the king was sorry; nevertheless, because of the oaths and because of those who sat with him, he commanded it to be given to her". (V. 9)

Those who live their lives pleasing people will end up in self-destruction. To please men is to try to satisfy people at the expense of your life. It is greatly killing. In most cases when we have pleased people and they are gone, we may keep cleaning the mess for months.

This man we read about today wanted to please people and he instructed the killing of the man of God. But he wound his own heart and remained a problem for him. That is why the memory keep witch hunting him (Matthew 14:1-2). Even the people he was trying to please that day knew he was entering into a big problem.

Friend, don’t join foolish people in this game of self-deception. It will have no good end.  Always be open and be sincere to people. That does not reduce you but releases you. Don’t try to please people and displease God who is your help. A true believer will always choose to please God than people (Act 4:19-20). You will enjoy the help of God and your heart will remain in peace.

Prayer: Lord, give me the spirit of self-sincerity

“Pleasing people is using what you don't have to satisfy those who hate you”.
