HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT

HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT Mark 10:35-45 Devotional:- “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant” (V. 43).   The world defines greatness in terms of power, possessions, prestige and position but God determined your greatness by how many people you serve. This is quite contrary to the world view. Jesus called Himself servant and to be like Him is to be a servant. That is why it is so important to have a servant’s heart. God often test our heart by asking us to serve even outside our shape or area of interest. Your priority area of service should be in your area of shape, but God could demand for your service wherever needed. Looking at how a servant act is important because one could serve in a church for years and not be a real servant. Real servants make themselves available to serve. If you only serve when it is convenient, then you are not a good servant (2 Timothy 2:4). Real servants pay attention to needs, always lo...

FEAR

FEAR

Matthew 8:23-27
Devotional:- "But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm". (V. 26)

One of the tricks of the devil uses on man is the trick to make them afraid. There are so many things Christians do not know, so the devil plays on our ignorance. He knows that the moment he can he can get us afraid, he can always overcome. Fear is the fore runner of the devil. Fear permits him to operate in the lives of men. It is the faith in God to work in our lives and fear moves the devil to work against. You need to stop being afraid, it is the greatest enemy of your faith.

Anytime lions want to eat, he roars. This creates fear in other animals. This will now make them produce hormones in them. By this he will sense to know the direction at which he should turn for meat. God’s word says the devil roars like a lion seeking for whom to devour. If you will stop being afraid of him, you stop secreting the hormone that attract the activities of the devil.

The only place the devil is afraid to enter is a place of faith and boldness. Do you notice that when you refuse to get scared by the barking of a dog, it stops chasing you?

God has not created you for fear. Please, realise that you are the highest creature of God. All other creatures are to be afraid of you (Genesis 9:2). Friend, fear will not save nor deliver you but add to your problem. Why don’t you learn to hang your faith on God and refuse fear? Then your life will begin to experience great peace and joy.

PRAYER: Lord, strengthen me from the inside to overcome fear.

“If you can’t stop the fear, you can’t stop the devil”
