SHARING YOUR FEELING

SHARING YOUR FEELING Hebrews 4:11-16 Devotional:- “For we do not have an high priest who cannot sympathize with our weakness… (V. 15)” It is not always very easy for people to understand us, especially when we pass through challenges and are weak. Even those who want to understand and sympathise could get to a level and turn back. Sometimes, instead of people sympathising with us, they constitute a panel of judges and begin to point accusing fingers at us.  As part of the act of love of Jesus, the scripture we read today says, He sympathises with us in our situation. In other words, He knows exactly what you are going through, both the one you can explain and the one you cannot. He could feel exactly the way you feel. The Bible says, He has suffered as we do. Even if you are struggling with a weakness or a sin, He has also been in the flesh. He knows how painful your feelings are. He cannot reject you, and He identifies with you and still loves you. TURN TO GOD

TURN TO GOD

Hosea 6:1-3
Devotional:- “Come, and let us return to the LORD; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up” (V. 1) NKJV

Today, it is so challenging to identify who is a Christian. This is because there are so many mixed up. That is why you and I should examine ourselves to check if we are truly Christian. Those who are Christians are those you have turn to Christ for their salvation. All of us are attracted to Jesus by one thing or the other. One thing is to be attracted to Jesus another is to turn to Jesus.

To check your Christian life, you must at one time or the other turns to Jesus for your salvation. To turn to Jesus is to look unto Him as a saviour to save you (Hebrews 12:2).  To turn to Jesus is an act of realizing your sinful life and the consequences of it (Romans 3:23). This makes you see a need to be rescued from the punishment or consequences of sin. You must have realised your helpless experiences in that you want to stop sinning but you cannot help yourself. (Romans 7:18-25). This makes you to cry out in need of a saviour. This is what makes you turn to Jesus for help.

Friend, if you have never turned to Him to deliver you from your sin, you may not be saved. Most people only turn to Him for a miracle but not for their salvation from the power of sin. Turn to Him today and He will give you the ability to overcome the flesh and you will be saved. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, deliver me from the power of sin.

“If you are not delivered from sin, you will not overcome it”.
