DOUBT
Devotional:- "So an officer on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, “Look, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, could this thing be?” And he said, “In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it.”". (V. 2)
One of the strong enemies of faith you must learn to pull down in your life is doubt. To be doubtful is to consider something impossible. Doubters are often double minded. When you use your little brain to consider impossible the power of God to deal with a situation, you simply doubt God. Some people’s little comfort has made them look down on God’s power. Some people have allowed their experience to enlist them in the company of doubters. The truth is that your doubts will reduce the efficacy of the power of God; it will rather nullify your own portion in God. We must learn to put aside our experiences when we are considering the working power of God. Our experience cannot bend God’s principle we are the one to bend to it.
The man we read about today got himself into big trouble and bag eternal destruction simply because he doubted. The prophecy of the man of God naturally looked difficult but with God it is a small thing. Friend, your brain is too small to analyse His power, just believe. Eventually, the word of God came to pass and he only saw it’s fulfilment and his life was terminated without tasting the promise.
Doubt is a trick of the enemy to make us lose our blessings. Believe the Lord your God and you shall be established, believe his prophets and you shall prosper. (2 Chronicles 20:20). Friend, do you know that a month is too much for God to change your story? God is lifting you to be great and your celebration is in this year in Jesus name.
Prayer: Lord, destroy the root of doubt
in me.
“You
lose nothing believing God’s promises”.
