STRENGTH IN GOD

STRENGTH IN GOD 2 Corinthians 10:1-6 Devotional:- “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds” (V4) NKJV      Many Christians today have so much confusion about their strength in God. It has made the church think that a few limited people can demonstrate the strength of God. So, multitudes are weak in strength. Though they come to church, yet in times of challenges, you see them rushing to another Christian whom they know to be stronger in God. Neglecting the fact that a New Testament believer is a potential priest and king for Christ (Revelation 5:10; Mark 16:17).

LOVING THE WORD

LOVING THE WORD

Psalm 119:140-144
Devotional:- "Your word is very pure; Therefore Your servant loves it" . (V. 140)

One of the strong evidence of the true child of God is that they love the word of God. If the word of God irritates you then something is wrong. True believers don’t play with the word of God. Every lover cherish their lover’s letter. The word of God is the writing of how God love us. The revelation of it puts you on growing ladder. The more word you have, the more of it you want to have.

To love the word means you have discovered it is changing you (Joshua 1:8). You have discovered it is re-organising your heart to be like Christ.   Nothing is as sweet as it (Psalms 119:103). So when you don't read it, you feel it. Any slight opportunity to hear the word of God you jump at it because your soul is always thirsty for it (Psalms 42:1). When you love the word, you will always think it, imagine it and speak it.

Friend, your low level of thirst for the word of God shows that you are not a true believer. Lack of love for the word is because you are not humble to accept the spirit of Christ (Psalm 25:9). Humble yourself today and let the spirit of God take over your heart.

Prayer: Lord, give me the spirit that loves your word.

“If you hate to read from a lover you are not a lover”.
