A REWARDER

Image
A REWARDER   Hebrews 11:4-7. Devotional:- "For he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder, of those who diligently seek Him” (V.6)      Everyone involved in any kind of labor expects a reward. What motivates people into service or pursuit of life is the reward attached to it. It is embarrassing to see that most people labor for no reward, or rather their rewards don't often measure up to their service or input. This is the reason for frustration in the lives of many in the world today.

IT IS YOUR HEART

Image
IT IS YOUR HEART Matthew 15:10-20 Devotional:- "But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man". (V. 18).      Very many people are totally in a confusing state. Not really knowing what to make life so unprogressively for them. They used to think it is devil and demons. Many have gone through all manner of deliverance and fell under anointing several times, yet life still remains same. But let me reveal to you today it is your heart.

DOUBT

Image
DOUBT I Kings 7:1-2 Devotional:- " So an officer on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, “Look,   if   the   Lord   would make windows in heaven, could this thing be?”  And he said, “In fact, you shall see   it   with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it.” ". (V. 2)      One of the strong enemies of faith you must learn to pull down in your life is doubt. To be doubtful is to consider something impossible. Doubters are often double minded. When you use your little brain to consider impossible the power of God to deal with a situation, you simply doubt God. Some people’s little comfort has made them look down on God’s power. Some people have allowed their experience to enlist them in the company of doubters. The truth is that your doubts will reduce the efficacy of the power of God; it will rather nullify your own portion in God. We must learn to put aside our experiences when we are considering the working power of God. Our experience cannot be

FEAR

Image
FEAR Matthew 8:23-27 Devotional:- "But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm". (V. 26)      One of the tricks of the devil uses on man is the trick to make them afraid. There are so many things Christians do not know, so the devil plays on our ignorance. He knows that the moment he can he can get us afraid, he can always overcome. Fear is the fore runner of the devil. Fear permits him to operate in the lives of men. It is the faith in God to work in our lives and fear moves the devil to work against. You need to stop being afraid, it is the greatest enemy of your faith.

VOICE OF THE ENEMY

Image
VOICE OF THE ENEMY John 8:37-47 Devotional:- “…When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it” (V. 44)      Most people prefer to listen to lies than the truth. They call it sincere talk. So they enjoy the devil conversing with them. Some people even believe it is better to take to the fact than the truth. So the devil always brings confusion to their heart.

CREATURE OF ABUNDANCE

Image
CREATURE OF ABUNDANCE Genesis 30:25-36 Devotional:- "For what you had before I came was little, and it has increased to a great amount; the LORD has blessed you since my coming. And now, when shall I also provide for my own house?” (V. 30)      At creation God pronounced His blessing on everyone to be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1:28). The blessing God placed on man is not for addition but for multiplication. And that is the blessing of abundance. So in you is the ability to multiply. In you is the ability to become multitude and many. In you is the ability to grow greatly.

BOTTLING OFFENCES

Image
BOTTLING OFFENCES Matthew 11:1-6 Devotional:- "And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me.” (V. 6)      What has caged the mind of many people from doing well which in turn has affected their lives is the act of bottling offences. Most people do not know that when you can't forgive people they are caging themselves. Unforgiveness is a sin more against oneself. Any time we remember people offend us we experience bitterness of mind and get wounded the more.

FAILURE FROM THE INSIDE

Image
FAILURE FROM THE INSIDE Matthew 26:14-16 NKJV Devotional:- and said, “What are you willing to give me if I deliver Him to you?” And they counted out to him thirty pieces of silver. (V. 15)      It is important you come to know that if a man is not successful in his heart he cannot be successful in this world. It is first in the heart then it will manifest outside. The greatest frustration of this world is people trying to achieve outside what they are not inside. If a man does not have the faith for success in his heart, no matter what he has he will feel like a failure. So he will desire for more, thinking by getting more he will be successful.

MONEY SUCCESS

Image
MONEY SUCCESS Luke 12:13-21 Devotional:- "And He said to them, “Take heed and beware of covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of the things he possesses.” (V. 15)      Because of the leadership failure in this part of the world, success has been redefined as having money and materials. This is because what man cannot access will become his idol if he is not careful. So to us here, the moment you have a car or house you are successful not minding how you got it or what you use it for because many cannot afford it.

FEELING CONDEMNED

Image
FEELING CONDEMNED Romans 8:1-5 Devotional:- "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit". (V. 1)      What some people call humility is equal to self-destruction. Many have problem differentiating between humility and self-humiliation. What some take for been sober is just like self-defamation. They do not only condemn themselves they also go on the cross for their own sin.

UNCONTROLLABLE TONGUE

Image
UNCONTROLLABLE TONGUE Proverbs 18:1-8 Devotional:- "A fool’s mouth is his destruction, And his lips are the snare of his soul". (V. 7)      Most people entered into snare by the word of their mouth. It is through lack of self-control many have wounded their own heart and they’ve become frustrated.

SHOW OFF

Image
SHOW OFF Matthew 6:5-8. Devotional:- “And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward" .  (V. 5)      Most of the events that brings snare to our soul and water us down are product of show off. These are what we do to please people or to demonstrate that we are there.

PEOPLE PLEASING

Image
PEOPLE PLEASING Matthew 14:1-12 Devotional:- "And the king was sorry; nevertheless, because of the oaths and because of those who sat with him, he commanded it to be given to her". (V. 9)      Those who live their lives pleasing people will end up in self-destruction. To please men is to try to satisfy people at the expense of your life. It is greatly killing. In most cases when we have pleased people and they are gone, we may keep cleaning the mess for months.

IMPATIENCE

Image
IMPATIENCE           1 Samuel 13:4-14 Devotional:- "Now it happened, as soon as he had finished presenting the burnt offering, that Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might greet him". (V. 10) NKJV      Sometimes in the course of trying to rush to attain a goal, we complicate situations especially when this rush is caused by impatience. Impatience is not to allow the right process of things to be in place. It is the trick of the enemy to bring affliction over our heart by making us to be restless and making us feel if it does not happen now it will never happen. This is not often true but lies. This is not a life style of a true believer.

BUSINESS

Image
BUSINESS 1 Thessalonians 4:9-12 NKJV Devotional:- "that you also aspire to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you". (V. 11)      Every true believer should be involved in one business or the other. To us as believers doing business is a commandment and not a suggestion (Luke 19:13). It is important you know that doing business is solving problem. Doing business is contributing to the good of your nation and your family. Doing business is generating income for yourself to be a blessing to your family and the Kingdom of God. Doing business is building your value.

PUTTING ON

Image
PUTTING ON Ephesians 4:17-24 Devotional:- "and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness". (V. 24) NKJV      When you are putting off the sinful nature, it is important we all labour to put on the nature of Christ. This is when we are Christians.  To put on means you deliberately allow yourself to be exposed to information that builds in you the new nature

PUTTING OFF

Image
PUTTING OFF Colossians 3:1-11 Devotional:- But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. (V. 8) NKJV      Part of the labour of faith for a believer is the work of putting off the old man. The old man is the flesh or self in every man (Romans 7:24). It is the work of each one to labour as we fellowship with God through His word to put off the old man (Philippians 2:12).

DILIGENCE

Image
DILIGENCE 2 Timothy 2:14-19 NKJV Devotional:- "Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth". (V. 15)      Laziness is a sign of irresponsibility. To be lazy the person always dodges responsibility and not willing to take a task. A lazy person will have to tell lies sometimes. Many times he or she will have to pretend. Always looking for how to manipulate and turn responsibilities away from his or herself. Such people are always excited only when there is fun. Their definition of fun is idleness.

GROWING IN THE LORD

Image
GROWING IN THE LORD Ephesians 4:7-16 But, speaking the truth in love may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ. (V. 15) NKJV      Nothing is more exciting in life than growing. With growth come many good things of life. With growth comes wisdom, understanding and knowledge. With growth comes unspeakable joy that accompanies insight. When your eyes are open to the ways of progress in life, you feel on top of the world. You will be able to take dominion and be in charge of your life. The sense of I am in charge makes you a living being indeed.

DAILY TIME WITH GOD

Image
DAILY TIME WITH GOD Proverbs 8:32-36 NKJV Devotional:- Blessed is the man who listens to me, Watching daily at my gates, Waiting at the posts of my doors. (V. 34)      The true sign that you are changed onto God is that it will look like a crime to lose your daily time in personal fellowship with God. Your heart will always be there and you will be looking for the slightest opportunity to have a time with God. This is a sign of a revived soul.

LOVE THE FELLOWSHIP

Image
LOVE THE FELLOWSHIP   Psalm 122:1-9 NKJV Devotional:- "I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go into the house of the LORD.” (V. 9)      When someone has sincerely turn to the Lord, no one we need to push you to be in the fellowship. It will become your delight. If people are running after you and you are dodging them and telling them all kind of lies, it is a pointer to the fact that you are not a genuine believer.

LOVING HIS PEOPLE

Image
LOVING HIS PEOPLE 1 John 4:10-21 Devotional:- If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? (V. 20)      You cannot be a true believer and hate the people of God. Before anyone shows up in the church by any means they come God love them. They are the reasons He went on the cross to die (John 3:16). So if for any reasons you hate them, the spirit of God is not in you (1 john 4:20).

LOVING THE WORD

Image
LOVING THE WORD Psalm 119:140-144 Devotional:- "Your word is very pure; Therefore Your servant loves it" . (V. 140)      One of the strong evidence of the true child of God is that they love the word of God. If the word of God irritates you then something is wrong. True believers don’t play with the word of God. Every lover cherish their lover’s letter. The word of God is the writing of how God love us. The revelation of it puts you on growing ladder. The more word you have, the more of it you want to have.

LOVE THE LORD

Image
LOVE THE LORD Matthew 22:34-40 Jesus said to him, ‘you shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ (V. 37)      A true believer loves the Lord. So many people come to church for many purposes, some for miracles, some for food, what to get, some to get a spouse, some in need of a job, some came to follow friend and many others. Only few people are in the church who loves the Lord. The reason people change church is because they can no more get what they are looking for.

HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM

Image
HOLY SPIRIT BAPTISM Acts 2:1-13 And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. (V. 4)      To be a true believer you must not just receive the Holy Spirit at convention, you must be baptised with the Holy Spirit. To be baptised with the Holy Spirit is to be filled with Him. It is to be full of Him so much that there will be no room for another spirit in you anymore. It is to be taken over by the Holy Spirit.

LIVING IN THE WORD

Image
LIVING IN THE WORD Psalm 119:91-105 Devotional:- "Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path". (V. 105)      Children of God are those who live in the word of God. To live in the word of God is to live as acting the word, as expecting the word to manifest in your life. It is making the word your hope and expectation. It is to live daily to fulfil the word of God. It is to make the word of God your mind set or your thinking pattern.

BELIEVE THE WORD

Image
BELIEVE THE WORD Romans 10:14-21 Devotional:- So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (V. 17)      The word of God says they just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17). Faith is believing the word of God. You are not a Christian if you don’t live by faith in the word of God. There are two Kingdoms in this world. The Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of the devil. In the Kingdom of God where we belong as children of God, the word of God is our governing principle. The word of God is our constitution.

SUBMIT TO GOD

Image
SUBMIT TO GOD James 4:7-10 Devotional:- "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you". (V. 7)      God made man as a free moral agent but that was because he wants us to voluntarily submit to Him. To submit is to make your life a Sub under His mission. This means to make Him your controller. To make His mission your mission for life. To allow Him be the supreme over your life. It is to follow God’s way as your vision.

REDEEMED TO GOD

Image
REDEEMED TO GOD Ephesians 1:3-10 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace (V. 7) NKJV      To be redeemed is to be bought from the slave market. When a slave is up for sale, a relation may come to buy back home. That is redemption. All men are in the slave market of sin (John 8:34). Jesus came as a saviour to redeem us from the power of sin (Matthew 1:21).

SAVED BY GRACE

Image
SAVED BY GRACE Ephesians 2:1-10 NKJV Devotional:-For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God (V. 8).      A Christian is the one that is saved by grace. To be saved by grace means you know you are not saved by your works of moral behaviour. It means you know that you do not merit your salvation. Grace means unmerited favour. In order words, you did not work for it. Someone had already paid for it.

GIVE YOUR LIFE TO HIM

Image
GIVE YOUR LIFE TO HIM Proverbs 23:23-28. Devotional:- “My son, give me your heart, And let your eyes observe my ways” (v. 26) NKJV      Our heart is a vital part of our life. Our heart is our soul. God made man as a spirit, but gives him a soul (heart) and make him to live in a body (Genesis 2:7). It is with your heart you are able to download the things of the spirit to manifest it in the physical. Your heart is your life. Your heart can connect with spiritual things and physical things at the same time.

TURN TO GOD

Image
TURN TO GOD   Hosea 6:1-3 Devotional:- “Come, and let us return to the LORD; For He has torn, but He will heal us; He has stricken, but He will bind us up” (V. 1) NKJV      Today, it is so challenging to identify who is a Christian. This is because there are so many mixed up. That is why you and I should examine ourselves to check if we are truly Christian. Those who are Christians are those you have turn to Christ for their salvation. All of us are attracted to Jesus by one thing or the other. One thing is to be attracted to Jesus another is to turn to Jesus.
