THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. God is starting a brand-new thing with you. He is giving you new experiences of success and breakthrough. You need to lea...

EXERCISING IN THE SPIRIT

EXERCISING IN THE SPIRIT

Read: Jude 1:17–22
Devotional:- “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit” (V.20).

For you to be built up in faith you must be filled with the Holy Spirit and must regularly exercise in it. That is because it the exercise in the spirit that inspire, anoint and build faith in you for achievement of God’s will for your life (Jude 20, Act 4:31). It will be dangerous for anyone to remain dry in the Spirit, it could lead to a total defeat in life. That is why God’s word asks us to build up ourselves in the spirit.

The major means of exercising spiritually is fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit in worship and prayers (Act 13:2). This entails taking time to regularly worship in the spirit, learn and listen to Him (John 4:24). It entails listening to the Holy Spirit and meditating through the word of God (John 6:63). It also involve that we pray in tongues of the Spirit and the language of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 14:4). This will enhance our growth in faith.

To be able to pray in tongues you will need to first ask for the baptism of the Holy Spirit by faith. Your asking is opening of the door of your heart for Him for He is always around looking for open hearts (Revelation 3:20). Then open your mouth to speak and He will enable you (Act 2:4). Don’t wait for anything to twists your tongue. Receive the Holy Spirit by faith and by faith open your mouth and begin to speak and it shall flow in you (Psalm 81:10).

Prayer Lord, give me a glorious experience with the Holy Spirit.

“YOU CAN’T SPEAK TWO LANGUAGES AT THE SAME TIME WHEN YOU STOP YOUR OWN; HE WILL GIVE YOU HIS OWN”.
