NOT AUTOMATIC

NOT AUTOMATIC Philippians.1:1-11 Devotional:- “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns” (V.6 NLT) Knowing fully well that spiritual growth is one of your purpose of been on the earth, then you also need to know that developing Christ-like character takes years, it is not automatic. We open to God bit by bit. Discipleship is the process of conforming to Christ (Romans 12:2, Ephesians 4:13). The truth is that the journey to Christ-likeness is a life time journey. Growth involves believing, belonging (through fellowship) and becoming (through discipleship). Every day God want you to become a little more like Him (Colossians 3:10) Today we are interested in speed but God is interested in strength and stability than swiftness (2 Corinthians 3:18). The reason it takes time to grow is because we are slow learner. We often have to relearn a lesson forth or fifty times to reall...

TESTIMONY

TESTIMONY

Read: 1 Samuel 17:30–37
Devotional:- “Your servant has killed both lion and bear; and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, seeing he has defied the armies of the living God” (V.36)

One of the major instigators of faith in our heart is testimony. Testimony is the sharing of the manifestation of the power of God. The bible itself is a book of testimonies of the wonderful deeds of God. Anywhere the testimonies of God’s deeds are shared faith is activated. This is because God is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrew 13:8). What He has done yesterday He can also do today. What He has done for mister ‘A’ He can as well do for mister ‘B’

In the scripture we read today was the event that announced David the king. The Holy Spirit used his testimony to produce a new strength of faith in him. He remembered how God helped him to overcome the lion and the bears that came against him and he concluded that Goliath shall be like one of them.

Friend, always keep the album of your testimonies. Always rejoice at the time of testimony. When you are faced with challenges they will be vessels of your faith for victory (Revelation 12:11)

Prayer: Lord, establish your testimonies in my life.

“IT IS WHAT YOU FILL YOUR HEART WITH THAT YOU WILL REFLECT ON DURING CHALLENGES”
