  NOT AUTOMATIC Philippians.1:1-11 Devotional:- “And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns” (V.6 NLT) Knowing fully well that spiritual growth is one of your purpose of been on the earth, then you also need to know that developing Christ-like character takes years, it is not automatic. We open to God bit by bit. Discipleship is the process of conforming to Christ (Romans 12:2, Ephesians 4:13). The truth is that the journey to Christ-likeness is a life time journey. Growth involves believing, belonging (through fellowship) and becoming (through discipleship). Every day God want you to become a little more like Him (Colossians 3:10) Today we are interested in speed but God is interested in strength and stability than swiftness (2 Corinthians 3:18). The reason it takes time to grow is because we are slow learner. We often have to relearn a lesson forth or fifty times to reall...

GOD’S PRESENCE

Read: Psalms 23:1-6 
Devotional:- “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me” (V.4)


    One of the weapons of faith that all God’s children must carry in their mind is the presence of God. God promised us that He will be with us in whatever situation we may be (Isaiah 43:1-5, Matthew 28:19). But this will have no effect if left in our Bible and not established in our spirit. You need to let it be settled in your heart that God is with you and this will produce great power in your heart.

King David just showed us one of the secrets of his consistent victory and that is the consciousness of the presence of God. No wonder he could face Goliath (1 Samuel 17:37). No wonder he could get the foreskin of the Philistine without stress (1 Samuel 18:25-27). He was always aware of God’s presence so fear was not his life style. 

If you also will learn to live with this consciousness from now, then you will sleep by faith, wake up in great joy and strength. You will launch out into each day with assurance and face those challenges with faith for your victory. Make this simple as a cloth to wear for your mind. “The presence of God” and you will always overcome. 

Prayer: Lord, help me to be clothed with your presence. 

“WHEN YOU ASSURE YOUR MIND OF HIS PRESENCE, IT WILL ALWAYS GIVE YOU PEACE”

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
