FLOATING AXE

FLOATING AXE Devotional:- 2 Kings 6:1-7 “So the man of God said, "Where did it fall?" And he showed him the place. So he cut off a stick, and threw it in there; and he made the iron float’’ (V.6) NKJV  Sometimes when we read about some great wonders of God in the Bible, something makes us feel it was because the people were very special. But we need to know that they are men of like passion (James 5:17-18). They were just exactly like we are, but they were only men of faith. This makes God to work wonders through them. The sons of the prophet needed a big place of dwelling. So they decide to cut trees to make a new home. Thank God they requested that Elisha should go with them. As they were cutting the trees, the axe head fell into the deep river. And the man of God asked the Holy Spirit for what to do. The Holy Spirit was what they also depended upon, and there was a miracle. Friend, you also have the Holy Spirit. That stick is the word of God. Speak to the sinking situatio...

HOPE

HOPE

Read: Romans 4:13-22
Devotional:- “who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be” (V.18).

Today so many people have come to believe that having hope is actually wrong. They think life is better based on fate and not faith. Fate is whatever life can bring but faith is the assurance of what God can do. If you cannot be hopeful in God, then you cannot wait to see the great doing of God in your life.

Friend, get to know that it is only a man of hope that can be a man of faith. God will not be able to do in you more than you can hope in Him. That is why you must work to see the revival of positive hope in your life which is your hope in God.

In the scripture we read today, though Abraham had reasons to be hopeless yet he retained his hope in the sure word of God. Your hope will move God to action. Even though Abraham was old, he had experienced several years of childlessness. His wife had passed the stage of menopause, yet he knew that God’s word was too certain (Romans 4:19-22).

Friend, if only you can change your mind and start to hope in God’s promises for your life against all odds, then God’s word will start to have His course in your life. Peace!!!

Prayer: Lord, help me to always see the hope in your word.
