A SINGING HEART

A SINGING HEART Ephesians 5:10-20 Devotional:- “speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord,” (v.19) NKJV Singing always, to some people, is equal to madness. Some believe that if you see a man who has never had a time of sorrow, then he is not a man. According to them, life must have ups and downs. But do you know that God want to simply make your days full of joy and void of sorrow. That is why Christ came to carry our sorrows away. If He has come to carry our sorrow away, then it is wrong to expect yourself to still be living in what is no more available (Isaiah 53:4). What the bible is teaching us today is contrary to what men will teach. God’s word wants us to always sing and be joyful. That is why God’s word says; rejoice in the Lord always and not sometimes (Philippians 4:4). Listen to this, if you want to be joyful and void of sorrow for the rest of your life, you need to pray it into your life. Sing...

SURE WORD

SURE WORD

Read: 2 Peter 1: 16 -21
Devotional:- “We have also a more sure word of prophesy: whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place until the day dawn and the day star arise in your hearts” (V.19) KJV.

Faith will not yet be faith until it found a strong substance of assurance in the heart of a man. Faith is truly an action but basically dependent on a certainty. In other word, the more certain a promise is to you, the stronger your faith will be. No one will have a certain or sure word that will not believe. I love to let you know that God’s word is the surest foundation for which you can bet your life.

The scripture we read today says, “We have also a sure word of prophesy…” The weight of a man’s promise is determined by the measure of his faithfulness. We know that God He is a faithful God (1 Thessalonians 5:24). This has been proved from generations to generation. If His promises are not coming to pass in your life, then you must have doubted His word (James 1: 6 -8).

He was faithful to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He cannot fail you if you put your total trust in His word. No matter how tough the situation may be, as you rest on His sure word to the end, He will turn them to testimonies and you will see the glory of God.

Prayer: Lord, help me to depend totally on your word.
