HOPING IN GOD

HOPING IN GOD Psalms 71:4-14  Devotional:- “For You are my hope, O Lord GOD; You are my trust from my youth” (V.5) NKJV In today's world, many people are finding it difficult to put their hope in God. This is because they have waited for a few times, which to them is rather too long (Proverbs 13:12). And now they’ve made their calculation that if they have hoped in God for these three years and nothing is coming forth, then what is the need for continuing to hope? It is why many people in civilised nations have been living their lives unwilling to carry God along. We often forget that without Him we can do nothing (John 15:5). Everything we can do or shall do should be by His permission. The most common error among Christians is that we often don’t understand the power of hope or the difference between hope and faith. Hope is consistently keeping in mind the promises God has made to us, because we know He can do what He has promised (Hebrews 10:23). This helps us grow in wis...

OBEDIENCE

OBEDIENCE

Read: Luke 5:1-10
Devotional:- “But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net” (V.5)

If we shall see the great power of God in our life, if we shall become a point of reference to the mighty works of God, if we shall become God’s vessel to turn the world around, then we must embrace obedience to God’s instruction. Often time when God speaks to us, our mind queries His instruction. They don’t look reasonable but they are powerful.

In the scripture we read today, Jesus used Peter’s ship to minister to people and after the ministration He asked him to launch his net to the deep for fishes. This is because God will not owe anyone the reward of service. But Peter complained of how long they’ve been toiling without result. He was only willing to do it to satisfy Jesus and he met a miracle.

Friend, why don’t you take to the instruction of God concerning your situation? Stop reasoning God’s word with your mind (Job 9:4). The mystery behind His word is more than our reasoning capacity (Isaiah 55:8-11). The wise will simply obey the Lord (Matthew 7:24). What is He asking you to do for His kingdom or His servants? What is He asking you to do concerning your business and studies? Go ahead and please the Lord and as you do it, you will see tremendous power of God for breakthroughs.

Prayer: Lord, give me the grace to always obey you.

“OBEDIENCE TO GOD WILL ALWAYS LEAD TO THE NEXT MIRACLE”
