THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. PERSISTENT

PERSISTENT

Read: Hebrews 6:9-18
Devotional:- “That you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promise” (V.12)

Faith is persistence. When people embark on a race and soon give up that is the extent that their faith can carry them. In God you cannot do without faith. Your destiny must not be thrown into a trash can. That is why you cannot afford to just give up this race of life. You must win. Sometimes God is not moved by how long but how firm you have decided to stand to the end.

Just as we read about Abraham, God’s word refers to him as a man who through faith and patience inherited the promise. Though it was taking time but he did not allow the situation to affect his faith. He knew that in a twinkling of an eye, God is able to fulfill His promises. He also knew God was only testing his ability to persist (Deuteronomy 8:2, 3, 13).

Decide to provoke God’s hand by your persistence. Make your conclusion based on the faithfulness of God. Staggered not (Romans 4:20). Patiently wait and your case will become a miracle. Men shall share your testimony everywhere and every one that hears it shall laugh with you (Genesis 21:6). Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, strengthen me to keep my faith to the end.

“IT IS ONLY THOSE WHO CAN PERSIST THAT WILL PREVAIL”
