SHARING YOUR FEELING

SHARING YOUR FEELING Hebrews 4:11-16 Devotional:- “For we do not have an high priest who cannot sympathize with our weakness… (V. 15)” It is not always very easy for people to understand us, especially when we pass through challenges and are weak. Even those who want to understand and sympathise could get to a level and turn back. Sometimes, instead of people sympathising with us, they constitute a panel of judges and begin to point accusing fingers at us.  As part of the act of love of Jesus, the scripture we read today says, He sympathises with us in our situation. In other words, He knows exactly what you are going through, both the one you can explain and the one you cannot. He could feel exactly the way you feel. The Bible says, He has suffered as we do. Even if you are struggling with a weakness or a sin, He has also been in the flesh. He knows how painful your feelings are. He cannot reject you, and He identifies with you and still loves you. POWER OF DISCIPLESHIP

POWER OF DISCIPLESHIP

Acts 4:5-13
Devotional:-“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus” (v.13) NKJV

After Jesus had ascended to heaven, the disciples received the Holy Spirit and they were witnessing for Jesus everywhere. Because of a notable miracle; they were called to question by the rulers. There, they noticed their boldness and courage and observed they have been with Jesus.

Something of noteworthy is that, these disciples were not educated or exposed, but they traced their life to Jesus. If they were not properly discipled by Jesus, it will not be so. By the way Jesus had discipled them, they were as bold as Jesus and this is because they now have the spirit of Jesus. They were able to stand in the will of God and uphold the gospel to the end of their life. They were willing to die for the gospel of Jesus because they were well discipled for Christ.

Friend, if you will not turn back from Christ because of situation around and make eternity with Christ, then choose to grow as a disciple of Jesus. Refuse to be an ordinary church member. Take time to grow by knowing the Lord (Daniel 11:32). Let your children and spouse know the Lord. They will not grow up to trouble you. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, make me and my home to be disciples of Jesus.
