  PROMISES Isaiah 55:1-13  Devotional:- “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (V.11) NKJV One thing that is common with lovers are promises. It is part of what a true lover will want to hear. To a true lover, a promise is like a cheque capable of turning into cash. So when people who love us promise us, we cherish the promises. And when we remember them, it gladdens our heart. We even sometime feel happy enough to share it with other friends. One other terrible thing that is common with people is failing to fulfill promises. That is why it will be unwise to marry someone based on mare promises. These failure in promises of people, in some cases, are due to the inadequacy of human strength, or unforeseen circumstances that can overtake the promises, so the promised often feel deceived. STEADFASTNESS

STEADFASTNESS     

Act 2:40-47
Devotional:-“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers” (vs. 42) NKJV 


    Today, our decisions to follow the Lord is greatly challenged by temptations of different types. The devil has so much polluted the world that it is so easy to follow the way of sin and unrighteousness. That is why to be an ordinary Christian today is to be no Christian at all. 

Those who have chosen to be disciples of Christ must be steadfast in following the master. To be steadfast is to be resolute to stand in the will of God even if nobody does. To be steadfast is to be firm no matter the intimidation of friends. It is to make up your mind to follow the Lord notwithstanding of any situation or circumstances.

Friend your decision to be a disciple of Jesus will be tested by people with negative influences. Be ready to be dishonored to bring honour to the Lord. You must have a strong resolution to remain in Christ whatever the case may be. Remember, Jesus has promised to help us by the Holy Spirit that is in us. Stand firm in the word of God and you will be a true disciple of Christ (Ephesians 6:13-14). Peace!

Prayer: Lord, strengthen me in the inner man to always stand for you

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
