But do you know that in many decisions we make, we are many times ignorant of this, later, in disappointments, frustrations and regrets. These are some issues that are vital to life and destiny. We are tempted to make decisions alone, knowing fully well that multitudes have failed as a result of the issues like: the career to pursue in life, choice in marriage and taking steps in life. FRUIT BEARING

FRUIT BEARING

John 15: 1-8
Devotional:- “By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples” (v.8) NKJV

We can identify a disciple by the fruit he bears (Matthew 7:20). A disciple of Jesus will live, talk and behave like Jesus. This is an evidence that he is following His master. Your life is a reflection of the person you are following. Your relationship determines your life and way of life.

Jesus said we must be in close relationship with Him to be His disciple. The word of God said, we need to abide in Him (John 15:4). This is an intimate relationship that makes us to accurately emulate the master. Anyone cannot be in a very close relationship with Jesus and not be able to bear the same fruit with Jesus. (Proverbs 13: 20). To abide in Jesus, we have to abide in His words (John 9:31)

Please understand that, we, bearing Christian names does not make us Christian. Jesus said, by their fruits you shall know them (Matt 7: 20) These fruits are the life style of those who are following the master. They are the fruit of the spirit (Gala 5: 21) In John 15:8, Jesus said, it is only when our lives bear the fruits of the spirit, that we can be called the disciple of Jesus (John 8:31). This means, each of us can measure if we are of Christ or not. Take time to keep close relationship with the word of God and the people of God. It is then you will begin to bear the fruit of Christ. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, make me a fruit bearing Christian.
