  GOOD REPORT   Proverbs 15:28-33 Devotional:- “The light of the eyes rejoices the heart, And a good report makes the bones healthy” (v.30) NKJV Today, in the whole world, the only kind of news celebrated by men is bad news. The reporters have also realised that people want bad news. So, they hardly report good things. If you listen to the news, read from the media or browse through the net, it is all about evil things happening all over the world. This is the trick of the enemy to cage the sons of men into sorrow and break the flow of joy in the lives of the people. The scripture we read today says, “good report makes the heart glad”. You must recognise the principle of a joyful life. It is a product of regular joyful reports (Proverbs 25:25). It is what you love to hear that your life will look like (Mark 4:24). you must know you are a product of what you are hearing. FRUIT BEARING   

John 15: 1-8
Devotional:- “By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be My disciples” (v.8) NKJV


    We can identify a disciple by the fruit he bears (Matthew 7:20). A disciple of Jesus will live, talk and behave like Jesus. This is an evidence that he is following His master. Your life is a reflection of the person you are following. Your relationship determines your life and way of life. 

  Jesus said we must be in close relationship with Him to be His disciple. The word of God said, we need to abide in Him (John 15:4). This is an intimate relationship that makes us to accurately emulate the master. Anyone cannot be in a very close relationship with Jesus and not be able to bear the same fruit with Jesus. (Proverbs 13: 20). To abide in Jesus, we have to abide in His words (John 9:31)

Please understand that, we, bearing Christian names does not make us Christian. Jesus said, by their fruits you shall know them (Matt 7: 20) These fruits are the life style of those who are following the master. They are the fruit of the spirit (Gala 5: 21) In John 15:8, Jesus said, it is only when our lives bear the fruits of the spirit, that we can be called the disciple of Jesus (John 8:31). This means, each of us can measure if we are of Christ or not. Take time to keep close relationship with the word of God and the people of God. It is then you will begin to bear the fruit of Christ. Peace. 

Prayer: Lord, make me a fruit bearing Christian.

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
