SHARING YOUR FEELING

SHARING YOUR FEELING Hebrews 4:11-16 Devotional:- “For we do not have an high priest who cannot sympathize with our weakness… (V. 15)” It is not always very easy for people to understand us, especially when we pass through challenges and are weak. Even those who want to understand and sympathise could get to a level and turn back. Sometimes, instead of people sympathising with us, they constitute a panel of judges and begin to point accusing fingers at us.  As part of the act of love of Jesus, the scripture we read today says, He sympathises with us in our situation. In other words, He knows exactly what you are going through, both the one you can explain and the one you cannot. He could feel exactly the way you feel. The Bible says, He has suffered as we do. Even if you are struggling with a weakness or a sin, He has also been in the flesh. He knows how painful your feelings are. He cannot reject you, and He identifies with you and still loves you. SURRENDER TO GOD

SURRENDER TO GOD

Romans 6:1-14
Devotional:- “And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God” (v. 13) NKJV

The word surrender looks too foolish to the language in the world. The language of the word is the language of winning, succeed, don't give up or overcoming. But we can only be disciples of Jesus when we surrender to Him (Romans 12:1). We don't surrender to God with a sense of fear or duty but with heart of love (1 John4:9-10,19).

We often don't surrender to God because we don't realize how much God loves us. So, we always want to control our own life. For us to be able to surrender to God, we must be able to trust Him, then we can trust our life into His loving hands. We must also admit our limitations and weaknesses, then we can trust in His help.

Surrendering does not mean giving up rational thinking, but it is demonstrated in obedience to God, no matter what. It means to trust Him to be faithful to His promises (Hebrews 10:23). It means waiting patiently for Him (Psalm 37:7) It means not rushing to defend yourself or react to criticism. Everyone eventually surrenders to something: it can be submitting to people’s opinion or expectations, money, fear, pride, inferiority complex, lust, or ego. But a true disciple of Christ will surrender to God in all things. That is when we can be like Him. Peace!

Prayer- Lord, help me to totally surrender to you in all things.

“HE WHO DOES NOT SURRENDER TO God, HAS TO SURRENDER TO AN IDOL”.
