  OTHER gods Psalm 16:1-11 Devotional:- “Their sorrows shall be multiplied who hasten after another god; Their drink offerings of blood I will not offer, Nor take up their names on my lips.” (v.4) NKJV When people are caged in the spirit of idolatry. It will take God to deliver them. This spirit enslaves them in an endless journey of sorrow. They keep moving on in their wicked and painful sacrifices till they enter into their pit of regrets. This is because wickedness makes people seek the devil for a solution. It is either that they want spiritual aid for promotion, money, or power that they are not entitled to. Since they think that God’s way seems to be slow, they then turn to the devil for faster ways and evil results that look temporarily good. Sons of men need to know that the evil of “get it quick at all costs” is foolishness. IN HIS WORD  

John 8: 31-36
Devotional:- “Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed” (v.31) NKJV

    A disciple of Jesus is not the one who come to just hear the word of God. They are rather those who abide or stay with the word of God (John 8:31). The desire of a disciple of Jesus is to be like Jesus. This is loving the way He lives. This is patterning our lives after the life of Jesus because of the great encounter we have with Him (Matthew 17:4). 

    In the scripture we read today, Jesus show us the way to becoming His disciple. This is by abiding in the word of God. It is staying with the word till we have good understanding. It is meditating on the word till we encounter the revelation of what God is saying (Psalm 1:1-3). By this, we will become doer of the word and be able to live as He lives (Joshua 1:8)

    Friend, to abide in the word of God takes strong discipline and commitment to live in the word. It is to live only by what the word says. This is by willingly taking the word, meditate and live according to the word (Joshua 1:8).  This is when we can have the best of God (Isaiah 1: 19) Discipleship is cultivating the life of Christ through the word of God. This is when the word of God is reforming our inner person to be like Christ. This is when we can reflect the image of Christ (2 Cor 3: 18). Peace.

Prayer: Lord, put the love of your word in my heart. 

"YOUR MIND ONLY GET SHAPPENED TO THE WORD YOU ALWAYS HEAR"

FRUITFULNESS Psalms 128:1-6 Devotional:- Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants All around your table” (V.3) NKJV      One of the blessings God pronounced on man at creation is fruitfulness. And today people are beginning to think that fruitlessness is a defect in the creation of man. So, most people are beginning to count it as natural to be fruitless. But we need to ask ourselves if there were defects in God's creation. Why should it be that it is only in human we often find such defects? How many goats or dogs have you found barren? Are we saying the same word of God spoken that brought the creation of all things has failed on the side of humans?  If you accept it as your lifestyle, it is your choice.

COURAGE

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
