  MEDIATING Hebrews 8:1-13 Devotional:- “But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises” (V. 6) NKJV In the Old Testament, the human priest used to stand in the gap between God and man. But because they are also human and can also sin, their priesthood was not able to actually deliver the human race. This is the ministry Jesus is carrying out on behalf of the believers since His ascension to heaven.  This ministry was taken over by Jesus because He loves us. Though He is seated on the throne but sitting closely to the Father to advocate for us. A mediator is someone who stands in the gap between the benefactor and the beneficiary. He is the one who pleads our cause to God. He is the one who intercedes for us before the Father. That is why we can be certain of our faith in God through Christ Jesus. IN HIS WORD  

John 8: 31-36
Devotional:- “Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed” (v.31) NKJV

    A disciple of Jesus is not the one who come to just hear the word of God. They are rather those who abide or stay with the word of God (John 8:31). The desire of a disciple of Jesus is to be like Jesus. This is loving the way He lives. This is patterning our lives after the life of Jesus because of the great encounter we have with Him (Matthew 17:4). 

    In the scripture we read today, Jesus show us the way to becoming His disciple. This is by abiding in the word of God. It is staying with the word till we have good understanding. It is meditating on the word till we encounter the revelation of what God is saying (Psalm 1:1-3). By this, we will become doer of the word and be able to live as He lives (Joshua 1:8)

    Friend, to abide in the word of God takes strong discipline and commitment to live in the word. It is to live only by what the word says. This is by willingly taking the word, meditate and live according to the word (Joshua 1:8).  This is when we can have the best of God (Isaiah 1: 19) Discipleship is cultivating the life of Christ through the word of God. This is when the word of God is reforming our inner person to be like Christ. This is when we can reflect the image of Christ (2 Cor 3: 18). Peace.

Prayer: Lord, put the love of your word in my heart. 

"YOUR MIND ONLY GET SHAPPENED TO THE WORD YOU ALWAYS HEAR"

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
