  MEDIATING Hebrews 8:1-13 Devotional:- “But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises” (V. 6) NKJV In the Old Testament, the human priest used to stand in the gap between God and man. But because they are also human and can also sin, their priesthood was not able to actually deliver the human race. This is the ministry Jesus is carrying out on behalf of the believers since His ascension to heaven.  This ministry was taken over by Jesus because He loves us. Though He is seated on the throne but sitting closely to the Father to advocate for us. A mediator is someone who stands in the gap between the benefactor and the beneficiary. He is the one who pleads our cause to God. He is the one who intercedes for us before the Father. That is why we can be certain of our faith in God through Christ Jesus. FOLLOWING HIS STEPS    

1Peter 2:18-25
Devotional: -“For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps” (v.21) NKJV



  Discipleship is following the master. If we are going to be the disciples of Jesus, we must be willing to follow the steps of Jesus. This is what we should do in every aspect of our lives.

The world around us does not know the Lord, so, to make them our example will be totally wrong. That is why, the way of the Lord will be odd to the ungodly. You must not emulate anyone but only those who are followers of Christ. To be able to follow the steps of the Lord, we must learn the details of His ways. This is by daily studying the word of God, to learn His ways. This way, the Holy Spirit will help us realize our wrong paths and we always make the choice of following the master. 

Always ask at any point of decision taken, what will Jesus do in this situation? Often time, the steps of Jesus will be different to the human approach and choices. It may even look unprofitable, but that is what will please the Lord to make us enjoy the blessing of God (Proverbs 14:12; Isaiah 55:8-12). Getting addicted to the steps of the master will put you in continuous blessings of the master (Matthew 6:33). It is time to step out of worldliness into godliness. Peace!

Prayer- Lord, give me the courage to always follow your ways.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
