  PROMISES Isaiah 55:1-13  Devotional:- “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (V.11) NKJV One thing that is common with lovers are promises. It is part of what a true lover will want to hear. To a true lover, a promise is like a cheque capable of turning into cash. So when people who love us promise us, we cherish the promises. And when we remember them, it gladdens our heart. We even sometime feel happy enough to share it with other friends. One other terrible thing that is common with people is failing to fulfill promises. That is why it will be unwise to marry someone based on mare promises. These failure in promises of people, in some cases, are due to the inadequacy of human strength, or unforeseen circumstances that can overtake the promises, so the promised often feel deceived. FOLLOWING HIS STEPS    

1Peter 2:18-25
Devotional: -“For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps” (v.21) NKJV



  Discipleship is following the master. If we are going to be the disciples of Jesus, we must be willing to follow the steps of Jesus. This is what we should do in every aspect of our lives.

The world around us does not know the Lord, so, to make them our example will be totally wrong. That is why, the way of the Lord will be odd to the ungodly. You must not emulate anyone but only those who are followers of Christ. To be able to follow the steps of the Lord, we must learn the details of His ways. This is by daily studying the word of God, to learn His ways. This way, the Holy Spirit will help us realize our wrong paths and we always make the choice of following the master. 

Always ask at any point of decision taken, what will Jesus do in this situation? Often time, the steps of Jesus will be different to the human approach and choices. It may even look unprofitable, but that is what will please the Lord to make us enjoy the blessing of God (Proverbs 14:12; Isaiah 55:8-12). Getting addicted to the steps of the master will put you in continuous blessings of the master (Matthew 6:33). It is time to step out of worldliness into godliness. Peace!

Prayer- Lord, give me the courage to always follow your ways.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
